Sunday mornings may start out lazy, but by the time afternoon rolls around, I always feel like it is time to get back on track. Creating a simple routine helps me make sure I have all my duckies in a row, from clean gym clothes packed in my gym bag to a meal plan for the week with steel cut oats started for breakfast. I love ending my weekend with a nice relaxing soak in the tub, which helps me sleep better so I start my upcoming week refreshed and ready to go.
Do you have a Sunday evening ritual or a routine to help you get ready for the upcoming week? Or perhaps you wait until Monday morning? Please tell me how you get your life in order after a hectic weekend in the comments section below.

As a college student, Sunday is usually the day where I hurry and try to finish all the assignments I put off all weekend, especially if there's a paper or project due the coming week. Sunday mornings are dedicated to a long, glorious bike ride to get myself on track since I usually eat a lot of junk on Saturdays.
I WISH I got to spend Sundays lazing around the house. I'm spending a few lazy minutes before I get to run off and work all day.
I like to plan out my schedule for the week ahead on Sunday afternoons. I don't get too specific, just basic to-do lists because my life is pretty unpredictable right now. For exercise, I just take a long walk or do some yoga to help me start the week calm and centered.

I think have a long shower, wake up early on monday and make a list and send all my emails out today asap cause clients always take time to reply and i have a meeting next week which i am not looking forward to, sometimes i just don't do much to plan but don't do that, it's bad for you, seriously time just files.
I always get up early on Sunday and work out, then I go to the store and stock up on groceries for the week. I always spend the afternoon with a cup of coffee and the Sunday paper and I just chill out and get ready for the week ahead. I also get my clothes out for the next day and lay my workout stuff out so I'm not tempted to go back to sleep in the morning!
spectra that's a great trip about laying your clothes so you don't go back to bed, i am going to start doing that, i need motivation to hit the pool in the morning. Hopefully this will help.
i always go food shopping on sundays and stock up on food for the week. I also do a couple loads of laundry, return any phone calls I haven't had the chance to do already, tidy up my apartment, do any errands i've been putting off, and I def never wear any makeup on sundays. it's my day to wear comfy clothes and not do my hair or makeup! even though i usually dread doing all my sunday rituals, by the end of the day i'm so happy i did because i have a stocked refridgerator, a clean apartment, and nothing left on my to-do list! and there is no greater feeling than that in my opinion.
My husband has to work on Sundays so I have glorious alone time in the apartment. I watch whatever I want to on TV, do a thorough cleaning while listening to my favorite music and take a long hot shower. I love Sundays!
Usually Sunday starts early and busy (we go to church at 7:15 am), so the afternoon and evening are spent haphazardly doing all the things that I needed to get done for Monday. Finishing class assignments, getting packets ready to mail for grad school apps, refill shopping for the family. Then, I pick one small project that I've been meaning to do but never got around to. This weekend was "clean out my car". It's exciting that I can see the interior floor again!
Our Sundays are lazy, as we're pretty active Monday through Saturday. I read the Sunday paper, perhaps clip some coupons. That's basically the only priority on Sunday.
It's hard for me to have a ritual. I try to take a bath, read (I'm in between "Watchmen" and "Years Best Fantasy 8") and watch "Animation Domination" as well as Tru Blood. My weekends are very important to me because I am a full-time grad student, have a 20/hr/wk internship and work. So, anything to de-stress. Anybody a workaholic like me?
Sunday mornings I drink coffee and clip coupons. Then, I clean the house and line up outfits for the entire work week so I don't have to fumble around in the mornings. I also prep 2-3 meals to store in the refrigerator so we have healthy "heat and eat" food for quick dinners after the gym. The last thing I do is clean the kitchen. Finally, I try to give myself at least an hour or so to unwind and read before bed.
Sunday for me is sleeping in a bit, going to church, going out for lunch with friends and getting groceries. After that is usually a nap, then a bit of cleaning and making a meal for husb and I for a couple days' worth of lunches. Usually I'll have a nice bath at night too. I keep Sunday nights clear because it's so nice just to relax and catch up with house stuff!
I typically try to get my grocery shopping done Saturday after I get off work so that I can lounge around most of the day Sunday. I wake up and make some breakfast, drink some coffee and relax while reading a book or watching some TV. I work out in the middle of the afternoon which is a luxury to me since I work through the week and will be starting school again soon. I spend the afternoon cleaning the apartment, doing laundry, making my lunch for Monday, and all that good and boring stuff. In the evening I take my dog on a long walk, spend time with the husband, and end the night with watching movies together.
I am so lazy on Sundays. Sometimes I go grocery shopping, if I didn't have a chance to do it on Saturday. I only work out Monday through Friday, so I don't even have to do that on Sundays! The only bad thing about Sunday is that you know Monday's coming...
i wish that i had a routine, but honestly, sundays are my WORST day ever. i usually go to the gym at some point, but the evening - BAD. that's the one night that my man and i will go to the bar to have a few beers to unwind and then we'll come home and veg and watch TV. the only way that i can get back into the groove is monday AM when i'm packing my gym bag for work.
