Fergie recently traded in her shots of apple cider vinegar for anything with high fat content, all in the name of art. The typically health-conscious star briefly sacrificed her impressive abs for her role in the movie Nine and gained precisely 13 pounds. Now she is determined to lose that baker's dozen by reversing her diet — all she has to do is give up the mostly fried food, like fish and chips, that she ate to gain the weight in the first place. Thanksgiving dinner won't set her back on her trek to her old bod; find out what Fergie will be eating this Nov. 27 when you read more.
The singer told US Magazine, "You can do creative things! You know, turkey isn't fattening — you can do that. A little bit of gravy — have a nice big salad!" Fergie's not going to completely deprive herself of traditional Thanksgiving treats and added, "I like a good pumpkin pie — that's my favorite — with homemade whipped cream. Whipped cream from scratch. I'll eat it for breakfast, always."

That's funny that she eats pumpkin pie for breakfast! I'm trying to slim down a little myself being post-Halloween and pre-Thanksgiving, but I'm trying to be flexible since it is the season of eating. I plan to not deny myself come Thanksgiving, but prepare my body for it in the meantime.
1Enjoy Thanksgiving, its the eating more then you need EVERYDAY that packs on the pounds.
2I try and be very conscious of what I eat on Thanksgiving. And I run a 5k race that morning, so I feel like I can afford a little more sweets than I usually do. Nonetheless, it's about portion control. I try to have everything I want, but in small portion.
3All about the portion control on the festive food holidays. Last year I did pretty well. Hopefully this year I will only have one plate and a side of dessert
4I've lost about 20 lbs recently, and I can say that one of the best things I did was to not deprive myself. Thanksgiving is just one of those holidays that's all about eating (usually mom's delish home cooking!). So enjoy it! Work out a little more before and after.
5Thanksgiving is one day out of the year, and I eat whatever I want. I would be sad if I didn't! Plus, I run a 5k in the morning and that definitely helps put all of the food into perspective.
6Something has happened to my body in the last few months and now I can't eat very much. I feel like I ate a huge Thanksgiving meal when I've just had a cup of soup and a small salad, or a small bowl of pasta. It's kind of annoying but it guarantees I won't overeat during the holidays! I'll just take tiny portions of everything I want to taste.
7I just set a 5lb weight loss goal for me so I can enjoy Thanksgiving!
Let's see if
that works out...I only did it though because I have got off track on my nutrition and need to understand that I am not supposed to eat like it's Thanksgiving everyday!! LoL!
8(13 is not a baker's dozen.)
thanksgiving is my absolute least favorite holiday, and i'll be delighted when it's over.
9I have to agree -- if someone eats well all year long, he or she can over-indulge during Thanksgiving (and even Christmas). A couple of holiday meals will not derail one's fitness. Trust me, I speak from experience.
Holiday eating is not the issue. It's the rest of the year. JMHO.
10a baker's dozen is 13
11Pumpkin Pie and Cheesecake make AMAZING breakfasts... YUM.
12A baker's dozen is 13...and I eat whatever is offered on Thanksgiving. That's what it's all about.
13a bakers dozen is def 13...
14Just enjoy it. Like Lauren said...it's eating a ton every day that causes problems, not one meal.
15I must admit, my "black Friday" breakfast is a slice of pumpkin pie and left over stuffing, followed by a big ol' salad at lunch.
16Since when is she an actress?? Hmmm turkey salad! Sounds good to me!
17I really don't have a problem with overeating during the holidays. I eat whatever I want on the actual holiday itself (Thanksgiving and Christmas) and then work out and eat healthy the rest of the days. Just because it's the "holiday season" doesn't mean you have to have cookies and egg nog every single day in December.
