Last week we dished about comfort foods, and I must say that pizza is one of mine. It must be since I love cheese. One way I make my pizza a bit healthier is to blot the grease off the top. If this makes me a health food nut, so be it.

But what about you . . .

Only if it's really over-the-top greasy. Otherwise, I like a grease with my pizza.
I don't like greasy food so yes. It's not even because I'm thinking that I getting rid of calories. Greasiness can give me a stomach ache, especially with something like pizza.
I never knew that it could get rid of so many calories to blot the pizza first - I guess it's kind of common sense but it never really clicked when I saw others doing it. When I read it removes like 45 calories or something I was amazed. I haven't had pizza since then but when I do I will definitely be blotting!
if there are puddles of standing grease yuck! must blot! if it's not very noticeable then why botter. it's still pizza and might as well taste good if i'm going to endulge.
wow my typos are out of control. sorry folks!
If there is excess grease then yes, I will blot it. Usually I do when I go to Boardwalk, but the pizza is sooooo gooood! Didn't know it removed calories though. yay!
I wonder, does that actually help? How many calories does it really save?
I don't blot my pizza because vegan pizza rarely has grease (at least the kind I have doesn't)
h to the no! i mean if we're talking about actual little puddles of grease, I'll blot them off. But if it's just a normal amount, say a nice 'grease gloss' if you will, lay it on me. mmmmmmmm.
Good quality authentic pizzas never have an excess of grease. I should know, I come from the capital of Italian-America.
I do blot. I like my pizza UNgreasy.
No, I don't want my friends to think I have an eating disorder.
I've blotted ever since having my gallbladder removed. Too much grease and I end up getting sick.
no never
always, i hate how puddles of grease form. Yucky
Never really thought about it. I usually eat hand tossed crust instead of pan, so it's not so bad.
I do because I don't think the grease really affects the taste of the pizza that much, so I may as well get rid of it!
I don't eat pizza. I avoid cheese.
I always blot the life out of my pizza. Where I live, the pizza is exceptionally greasy!
I used to make fun of my mom for doing so, but I have now started taking the cheese off my pizza. I know, I know....what's pizza without the cheese? I happen to love the bread and tomato sauce combo, so as much as I love the cheese, I'll sacrifice so I can have a few more slices.
I only blot if it's crazy greasy. I like a comfortable medium between sopping and creepily dry. Pizza is supposed to have a slight sheen, right??
If I can see puddles of grease, I blot.
i do that to hamburgers. but pizza grease is from cheese and if you buy the healthy one than the fat is healthy as well. It's from the cow
so i don't mind, besides i eat pizza rarely. but i had a hamburger (homemade) today and will
have two tomorrow
When it's so greasy I can practically see my reflection in it, then yes.
Depends. I really like white pizza & it never is overly greasy - so I don't really worry too much about it. If someone orders pepperoni pizza, I'm not a big fan, so I take the pepperoni's off & blot.
Not sure if eating a semi-greasy pizza makes you a health food nut!
ditto fleurfairy. I mean if the pizza starts dripping orange grease the minute you pick it up it's probably not good pizza anyways and I wouldn't be buying it in the first place.
what?! I thought everyone did! lol.. yea, I do, till there's no more grease.
I like Pizza, but I cut them into really small bites so I can eat them piece by piece with my fork! I love eating pizza with iced pepsi or coke. How unhealthy is that... Next time, I'd eat it with some cold orange juice.
I've honestly never had a pizza that had puddles or grease or dripping grease on it. If I did, I would blot. But like a few readers have said before, pizza should be a little greasy. And if I'm splurging on pizza, why not enjoy it all?
You left off the option "I don't eat pizza". The only time I ever eat it, I make it with no cheese or meat, so there is no grease on it at all.
