The holiday season is upon us, and with it come tasty and tempting seasonal drinks from Starbucks. So let's see if you know how much you are spending calorically, and how much time you'll have to spend exercising if you choose to drink any of these holiday treats.
Question 1 of 6
If you choose to drink a 16-ounce grande Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha made with two percent milk, minus the whipped cream, how many liquid calories are you consuming? Source
Calvin Klein
Balenciaga
McQ by Alexander McQueen
Ugh, I will stick to my simple coffee with soy milk when I next hit Starbucks.
1but...this drink is sooooooo good ><
2
Jeeeeez, I got a 1/6. Lol. I wanted to try the new hot chocolates Starbucks came out with, but I'm not sure if it's worth the calories!
3I wished they have an eight-ounce version. Well, I guess I will share that with my husband then.
4and how many calories has Frappuchinos with cream!!!!????
5.....Sigh.....I got 4/6....which means I should know better..
6Hmm I got 4/6... :/ not horrible I guess? I have never ordered any of these drinks though, although I guess I once tried the peppermint mocha but wasn't really a fan. So I just estimated.
I would've had NO idea it would take 2 hr 20 min to burn
off 550 calories though, I thought I was kinda overestimating at 2 hrs. That's a lot of walking! I guess if you drank it right before you went Christmas shopping for a few hours...? Haha
7Thank GOODNESS we don't have Starbucks here, but when I was in Europe last winter I loved their holiday flavours.
8So glad I do not drink the holiday drinks. I never had them.
9I hate these calorie things. I am not one to get caught up with calories but I'm always curious. I will still be enjoying those yummy drinks. The holidays are really the only time that I go to Starbucks.
10This quizz just made me really sad.
11Luckily, I don't like hot drinks and I NEVER go to Starbucks...except when the boyfriend needs a mocha and a cookie.
12hehe only got 2/6
but starbucks = once/twice a month, usually skim chai...
so i get holiday drinks...2-3 times a yr
TOTALLY worth it ><
13
3/6.....I always stick to the smallest siz when it comes to strabucks speacialties. But I usually get skim lattes, no sugar!
143/6. oh well. i LOVE the pumpkin spice latte and a friend told me the salted caramel thing was good, but i find that my usual once-a-weekend skinny vanilla latte is enough of a treat (and actually pretty low cal).
i do think i'll need to go for at least 1 pumpkin spice this season...but i'll have to fit in an extra workout that day. i do always order with ff milk, so that should help, too.
15why wasn't the gingerbread latte on this quiz?! that 1 is soo good.
16totally depressing....from November - December I have like 5 eggnog latte's per week
17I'm always a little leery of that 'how long you need to work out to burn off' thing - we need to eat to live and a little sugar in moderate amounts isn't the end of the world or the ticket to a size xxxxxxl. I think most of us know Starbucks yummy drinks are the equivalent of a donut or two and manage what we eat and treat it like a dessert, you know?
18I love the gingerbread latte. I am restricting myself to 2 a month because I suspect they are 500+ calories and I'm lactose intolerant!
19I have this on my bookmarks at work:
20http://www.starbucks.com/retail/nutrition_beverages.asp
That way, if I am tempted, I either talk myself out of it, or research before I order!
GAHHHHHHHH!! Thank you for forcing me to weigh
my options...
21Wow I did embarrassingly bad. Good thing I'm hooked on light Frappuccinos.
22all this work makes me want a latte
23Soooo not worth it for me.
241/6. I've never been to Starbucks. Nor did that motivate me to run out & try it!
25The salted caramel hot chocolates are worth every calories - such a delicious treat.
26Save up your calories. Sometimes it's worth it. And it puts me in such a holiday mood!
27wow. that's pretty scary! i didn't know that hot chocolate packed in 500+ calories. YIKES.
i usually order a short. they don't even advertise it in the US, but in europe they don't even sell the venti. who can take that much? LOL.
281 /6 man . and i drink starbucks waaaaaaaay too much .
29today is most deff the last day for a while .
I don't go to Starbucks often. But in Summer, I'm there almost everyday for Frapuccinos, and during Holiday times, I need to have a cup of their holidays drinks everyday to survive. I guess I do go to Starbucks often after all. I honestly don't like their crap quality coffee, but their coffee flavored milky drinks are so sinful and good.
30Ew! Salted caramel hot chocolate?!? That sounds gross. I'll stick with my nonfat iced chai. My favorite!
31We don't have any of these specialty drinks here in French Starbucks...thankfully!!!! What crazy calorie and fat counts!!
32This quiz freaked me out a bit. I had to go on the Starbucks' website &check it out for myself.
160z Nonfat, No Whip, Peppermint Mocha Twist: 290, 3.5g of fat. The Nonfat milk & no whip cream really helps. But I'll be switching back
to my Nonfat Caramel Macchiatos. Less calories & fat grams. (I've learned that fat grams are just as important as the calories...fat's a harder to burn than calories. Especially when you
have too many calories in your diet.)
33i don't really like their experiments on the menu for seasonal beverages.. (they usually use special syrup)
34I love Starbucks' Mocha Frappuccino Light and Tazo Shaken Iced Tea (Unsweetened). They're delicious and guiltless.
