OK, so you may have read this title and laughed but I've gotta say Ricki looks good! She was recently on the cover of Us Magazine and I was stunned to see her looking so fab.

Here is what UsMagazine.com reports that she is saying on her dramatic weight loss:
Once weighing 250 pounds, newly transformed former talk show host Ricki Lake has revealed exclusively to Us Weekly the secrets behind her 123-pound, size-4 shape.
Lake, 38, who just debuted The Business of Being Born, her documentary about home birth and midwifery, sits down with Us and explains exactly how she got thin – and finally made peace with her shape after a painful past.
On crash dieting in 1991: “… I went on this extreme diet. I used to faint because I wasn’t eating and I was always exercising.”
On the most exciting thing about her new weight: “For the longest time, when I was very heavy, I couldn’t cross my legs. I couldn’t physically do it. LOVE that I can cross my legs now ... Even my shoe size is changing. My Jimmy Choos are too big now.”
On what she thinks of super-skinny actresses: “I think I have no wrinkles because I always had fat on my face. Really skinny girls age so fast.”
Talk about a blast from the past -- Does anyone suspect comeback? Regardless the woman looks great and I love commending anyone with the will to lose so much weight.

DAMMMMMMMNNNNNN she looks amazing! I LOVE Ricki Lake. Used to watch her with my mom all the time! What a blast from the past.
1wow good for her....hard work pays off
2"Skinny girls age so fast" -- that has to be the most lame and stupid thing I've ever heard. She is annoying, always has been!
3good for her! but the skinny girls aging fast comment was unnecessary.
4She does look really good, I think US could have chose a more flattering "after" photo though.
5While I don't know that I want to get to a size 4, she's definately motivating me not to subscribe myself to a size 12!!!
6Wow. That's impressive.
7She looks great! Though I agree, that is kind of a strange after photo... Like what's so wrong with the right side of her body... Hmmm.........
8she looks soo good!! i love her!
9im confuused didnt seh lose this weight years ago.. did she get fat and then thin again?
10That truly is amazing. I'm so happy for her... and proud too!
11How did she lose that much weight and not have extra sagging skin?
12How did she exactly lose the weight? Has anyone read the issue? It's not available over here but I'm really curious how she made it.
13you can lose a lot of weight and not have excess skin if it's a slow process and you are working out while dieting. people that have excess skin are the people that lose a lot of weight extremely fast... so fast that your body and the elasticity of your skin can't catch up.
14wow she looks amazing!
15she looks great - but that is the worst after shot. whats with the weird pose/skirted bathing suit?
16Wow, I miss her!
Love Hairspray.

17Skinny girls age fast? I would think someone who gained and then lost a lot of weight (including from her face) would wrinkle even faster. Hmm.
18Is she really a size 4? She looks great, but she seems curvier than that.
I'm sure the photo was photoshopped because if you lose that much weight, even if it's over a gradual period of time - aren't you bound to get stretch marks? Especially if you begin at a size 24??? I might be wrong, but I'm doubtful.
19oh i definetly think she would have plenty of stretch marks but it's a magazine cover...... airbrushing//lighting.
20She looks awesome! I really like her. Even when her talk show got a little trashy
21Congratulations! I hope she will remain fit for long (if not evr).
22OMG, she looks so amazing. She's going to be my new role model to lose 20 pounds! If she can lose half her body weight without surgery, I think I can lose 20.
23This gives me hope! I hope there's a Ricki Comeback! I'd love for her to do another show!
24In the early 90s, Ricki lost 100+ pounds in a VERY short amount of time... I remember reading that she said she did it all with diet and exercise, but it happened in like 6 mos, so that seems kind of fishy. I've lost 70+ lbs with just diet and exercise, so it IS possible - but slow and steady wins the race!
25she definitely looks good, but i don't think she's a size four...
26good for ricki! i always loved ricki lake. she just seems so darned personable!
27WOAAAAAAAAAAH there! your shoe sizes can change with weight?! WHA???
28go ricki, go ricki, go ricki!
that takes me back! amazing job on her part and done right too (no surgery, lipo, crash diets).
29She looks fabu!
30Good on her! That's an awesome achievement.
31The skinny girls wrinkling sooner is true. Without the fat reserves under the skin on the face your skin get very thin and wrinkles because the collagen breakdowns more easily. Look at Rachel Zoe or Nicole Richie for examples of how very thin women age prematurely. Your body needs a certain percentage of fat to function, of course I over feed my skin fat.
I've been shocked during my weight loss that I now get carded entering a club, people seriously ask if I'm old enough to do my job (you have to be at least 25 to have the type of job and driver's license I have) and I got stopped by a truant officier who asked me why I wasn't in class at Mission High School. The excess fat in my face, plus my religious use of SPF 50 sunscreen daily on my face has kept me looking really young. Plus I think it's genetic my grandmas were wrinkle free until their 80s. My only had laugh lines from busting up so much. I'm 35 btw.
Also, I've have no jowls or sagging skin on my face as a result of my speedy weight loss (100 lbs in 7 months and still losing). Only saggy skin is on my stomach and inner thighs. My stomach because my stitches were too tight post-op and I was forbidden to workout my stomach for 5 months plus the fat pad there was enormous in my opinion so as it empties the skin just hangs but it is retracting - slowly. And my inner thighs are saggy because I stop using the hip adductor and abductor machines at the gym because they were always broken.
I know TMI.
32She looks great, and I'm glad for her (I've always loved me some Ricki), but she is NOT a size 4. I'm so tired of 'amazing weight loss' articles featuring people who are utterly delusional about what size they truly are. Do they shop at a special store where are all the sizes are larger than normal? Do they employ assistants to switch the tags in their jeans? Get real, Ricki. You MIGHT be a size 6, and that's just because you're short. Quit lying, girl.
33impressive change and good for her and all that but that is really not a flattering picture at all. There must have been better pictures from that shoot, why the heck did they pick that one? o.O
34yeah she looks really good.
35Wow, that's awesome! Motivation! Good for her!
36It's true, your shoe size DOES indeed change when you gain or lose a lot of weight. I lost 80 pounds and found that my shoe size went down half a size. Plus, I didn't have all the sagging skin either. I think if you work out and lose weight in that way, your body adjusts to work those things out on its own. Good for you, Ricki!!
37She makes me really envious ....
38I agree, she looks a whole lot better, but I doubt she's a size four. My sister's a size 4 and she's way skinnier than her and I'm a size 0-00 (but I'm 5'3). Maybe she's a size 4 at Lane Bryant or something.
39It IS a weird after photo. Like she's got a hump in her back or something...I'll have a look at the issue tonight when I'm grocery shopping. Maybe it's just a weird angle?
40i love her... she was awesome in hairspray.... good for her!!!
41Good for her! I definitely think she squeezed herself into the size 2-4 dress Herve Leger dress in the magazine, though.
42She definitly had plastic surgery, no one who was would be without stretch marks and cellulite. It's just not possible.
43Oops, I meant no one who was as fat as her would be without cellulite or stretch marks.
44She might be a size 4 if she's tall. I'm 5'8", and long ago and far away when I weighed that much, I was a 4 in average, affordable-to-a-college-student clothes. Or, if her clothes are expensive, designer ones (likely, no?), then she could be a size 4 in them, even if she was a 6 at the Gap.
45^I don't know why some people think designer clothing has a smaller dress size printed on the tags, since the opposite is true. I'm a 0 at "mall stores", and a 2 in mid-range designer items (Max Mara, Betsey Johnson, DVF, etc.) It's not the other way around. Apparently the more expensive designers (like Gucci, Chloe, etc) use even smaller sizes, so their size 4 is like a Gap 0.
46good for her but in the pic she looks a bit weird
47I havent read the full article yet, but how do you loose that much weight and not having some sagging skin? I have lost nearly 100 pounds and even with the weight training there is still sagging skin.
48She looks incredible!
49sign me up!! she looks wonderful!
