It is election day here in the US, and it is time to exercise your political power. I suggest walking to your polling station to exercise your body a bit too. If you have to stand and wait in a long line, the walk will be good for your metabolism, since being sedentary slows down your calorie burning potential. The A-Listers of Hollywood urge you to get out and vote, too.
Anxious about the results? Don't just sit around glued to the TV this evening. Calm your body with a good cardio session or at least use your TV time to stretch.
Did you walk to your polling station? Let me know in the comments section below.

Unfortunately for this idea, my polling place was only two blocks away this morning, but I plan on going for a run later since I'm up early and don't have too much to do the rest of the day.
1I walked.. the lines were long! but I voted!!
2My polling place is right on my running route! I tucked my license and voter registration card into my shoe (just in case) and ran there! It felt great to pull the lever for Obama!!
3There's not much choice out here, it's NYC.
4I could have walked there, but I wanted to get it done and over with as quickly as possible and couldn't deal with taking even longer to get there.
5I forgot to say I'll probably do some exercise today anyway just to get rid of stress.
6I walked! My polling place was a library on the corner of my block. Voter #168!
7I wasn't planning on walking it, but when I found out where it was I did. Like jmolea01 and jenniferjane, my was at a library kind of around the corner and near one of my walking route.
The line was a lot shorter than I thought it would be.
8I'm going after work planning to walk there (about a mile) and run home.
9went to cycle this morning, came home, changed, walked down to the voting place at the local church and dropped off my ballot. sadly, i had to walk by proposition propoganda on their lawns. though I swung my feet at them in mock kicks and that warmed me up a bit
10Sonia, in my state you're not allowed to have voting propaganda at voting sites...weird.
Anyway, I voted but I didn't walk there...the church where I voted is across a HUGE intersection, and I don't feel comfortable walking there. Plus, I had to get to work right after!
11It's illegal here in CA too. We called to have them removed last night but the church just moved the signs a lil ways over from the voting site, still viewable to the voters and one still has to walk by them on the sidewalk. boo
12I am doing a serious amount of pacing and picking up my house as I watch the election results. By tomorrow morning my house will be spotless.
13I walked! About a mile there and back. And Starbucks is right across the street from my poling place, so I ducked in for me free iced coffee! And no lines at my poling place either, woohoo!
14I did walk! I rarely walk in my neighborhood, so I was pleasantly surprised to find that my polling place was just under half a mile from my house. It was nice to move a bit before work rather than just getting in my car and going straight to sit at a desk all day!
