New research published in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology has found that tea drinkers have a lower risk of developing squamous cell or basal cell carcinoma, the two most common forms of skin cancer.
This does not mean that you can go to the pool, order a tea and skip the sunscreen since no evidence was found that tea drinking lowered skin cancer risk in people who'd accumulated painful sunburns in the past. Also, the study did not look at the relationship between tea drinking and malignant melanoma, the least common but most deadly form of skin cancer. So continue to have your daily cup of tea, but wear sunscreen and protective clothing to be well on your way to lowering your risk of skin cancer.

2Thanks for the heads-up, Fitsugar!
3I recently gave up coffee drinking, a habit which I had become dependent on. It was 4 days of headaches and now I'm free from addiction! I sleep so well as i did when I as a kid. Absolutely amazing. And SO simple.
4I love green tea...my fav would be www.teacuppa.com dragonwell and gunpowder green tea!

5I agree, gunpowder green tea is good.
6I drink tea every day but prefer to make it myself. I find tea in most coffee shops to be not so great. Even if the tea itself is good the water is usually not hot enough to brew it well (I drink black tea). I love those independent coffee shops that have loose tea. There's nothing better than a nice cup of Assam with some whole milk. YUM!
