The beautiful country star, Faith Hill, has a gorgeous voice. Who knew she has a gorgeous and strong bod, too. At age 41, she'll be on the cover of Shape magazine's December issue (on sale Nov. 10) showing off her amazing figure, and she has her daily exercise routine to thank.
In her 20s and 30s, Faith went through different phases with exercise. She'd work out right before a video shoot or tour, but didn't do much afterward. Then once she had three children and turned 40, she knew it was time for a lifestyle change. She had knee surgery last January, so she couldn't exercise for six months. So in July, she and husband, Tim McGraw began a daily routine. They did four miles on the elliptical, light weight lifting, crunches, and push-ups. Faith said, "I found I slept better, had more energy and was stronger."

Faith also added Pilates classes three times a week to help her tone up and increase flexibility. Faith told Shape, "I could bend in ways I haven't been able to since I was a teenager. My husband loves it!"
This Nashville-based star said, "It was so hard, but ultimately so worth it. My core is much stronger, and my arms are more toned. In fact, wearing a bikini on a magazine cover is my 41st birthday present to myself." What an amazing gift. Nothing's better than taking care of yourself, being healthy, and feeling confident about your body. I just hope Faith's picture wasn't Photoshopped like her photo on the July 2007 cover of Redbook was.

could the photo-shopping on that photo be worse?? her head looks pasted on... she's a beautiful girl (on the outside), but that is not her body...

5Photoshop!! A girl I personally know from high school has actaully been on this magazine cover multiple times (she's a model) and even says that these covers are nothing but photoshop galore. Don't believe what you see...it's all lies!!!!

7i think the photoshopping is obvs on this one... kelly ripa was saying how both times she was on the cover they photoshopped a lot. once they even made her "outie" belly-button an "innie"...
8How come I do EXACTLY all the same stuff SHE does and don't look like that?? This woman keeps a strict diet, too! But, anyway, yay Pilates - I totally agree. I have to have it three times a week.

10Shape always Photoshops their cover models beyond recognition. It drives me nuts...I wish they'd just show the models au natural...if I had that kind of enhanced muscle definition, I could win a fitness model competition.
11faith has gone in public talking about how she hates when her pictures are photoshopped so i'm not sure that you guys are 100% right about how much it's done. she's very against it, so i have a feeling that although there's probably some retouching, it's not as much as you make it out to be.
photolove - you need to be careful with things like that when you say them. i've worked with her in the past and i know that she NEVER did that when i was working with her, so things may have changed but i don't know about that.
12Obviously it's been photoshopped, as is the case with all ads or covers. I also doubt the whole bit about not working out that much aside from before a tour. Shape is supposed to be about wellness, but it's not any better than a fashion magazine.
On a side note, how come noone has mentioned the bikini and cardigan look?

14I agree -- that photo looks heavily photoshopped. The muscles are unnatural-looking.
I just tested that pose on myself. Like Faith, I have a lean, define, flexible core. The ab and thigh muscles do NOT look like that in reality in that pose.
15I think Shape needs to lay off the photoshopping. The covergirls (women) always look fake. The cover with Leanne Rhimes was the worst.
16when i first saw that picture i immediately thought photoshopped. her head looks rather awkward on her neck and the colors of her outfit are just to bright. cannot stare at the cover for too long.
i like her fittness routine though. 4 miles on elliptical isn't bad and pilates does work.... guess i have to get back into it.

23It makes me dismayed, because I really value the information that's inside Shape -- I think they try to present a more realistic view on fitness and health than most magazines.
Still, the celebrities that go on the covers can't break out of the machine. They hate the photoshopping and are against it. Yet, one of the best ways to promote themselves/their show/their album/their TV is to go on a magazine cover. It's a catch 22.

25Also don't forget before they even take the photo they get touched up with that mystic tan and make model(some) look like they have definition in areas they don't as far as her head it looks like hers to me but all photos are touched up a bit just remember lots of makeup before photos BIG
