I love my bike. It's orange, so what's not to love. I love biking around town to run errands and I wish I could commute via bike. One of the reasons I love spring so much is I get to ride more. This got me wondering how many of you have bikes. So do you?

my bike is in serious need of a tune-up.
1I like to fun bike (the ones you sit in and steer by leaning your body) but, as far as reg ular bikes go...i loved it as a teenager, but maybe its my size now? the seat hurts so bad i can't stand it.

Why don't you wear the face you have when I am not around?
don't have a bike, have this fear of being run over
3I have an exercise bike next to the window. Doesn't feel the same, but I have a great imagination.
4I have one picked out that I am buying myself for my birthday this year.
5i have a bike, i don't ride as much as i should.
6I just got a new one this year; looking forward to the summer so we can boot around town.
7I love my bike, I'd be lost without it!
8I have no bike, not since I got in an accident when I was young.
9When I lived in Indy, I biked to do errands and often had a daughter on the back. Alas, the Atlanta area is so hilly and the streets not cycle friendly.
10i own bike, but haven't ridden it in a loooong time
11I am learning, wasn't a fan as a kid (and I have hip problems) but I'm in a super bike friendly outdoorsy town now so it's time to play along. The triathlete/cyclist boyfriend helps a bit.
12I go to UC Davis, and i think its like a pre-req to own a bike. There are something like twice as many bikes than there are residents. And apparently bike lanes were "invented" here.
13I used to bike every where. I didn't have a car. I had full rain gear for the winter. Biking in the rain sucked. I didn't get a car until I was preggo - just seemed like a better mode with a new born. I miss my bike. I totally abandoned it after having kids. Need to get back on it and the kids on bikes too.
14I can't believe there are people without a bike! Where I come from (I'm in The Netherlands) almost everyone travels by bike or owns one anyway. I don't think I'll ever learn how to drive a car because it's just not necessary. My boyfriend is learning how to drive at the moment but I don't really agree on that.
So my answer is yes, it is my only form of transportation!
15I own a bike and we usually take a ride down to the beach every weekend (it's about a 30 minute bike ride).
16Where's the option for: I own a bike but it's about 10 years old and in need of a serious up-grade. Yep, that would be mean. I'd love to buy a new one, but funds are low for this poor college soon-to-be graduate.

bike to work day coming may 20! get those tune ups now.
18Bee87, I am living in The Netherlands right now..and my favorite thing about it is the bikes. I mean..they are everywhere. Everyone is riding them. It's something like 80% of the population owns a bike!
I love riding mine. My favorite part of the day is the 20 minute ride to and from work. I wish that cities in the states would adopt a system like this. There are literally bike trails that take you all over the country here. It's is so refreshing.
19Yes. I ride with my Children.
20I want a bike- and I've seen some cute ones for pretty cheap. Problem is that in my city, bikers aren't supposed to be on the sidewalks, and I haven't ridden a bike (outside of a stationary) in years. Many, many years. I'm kind of afraid of traffic situations, since there aren't many bike lanes, and the drivers are sometimes downright nasty to the bikers. I'd like one though, so that I can get around town a bit faster and maybe it will help with my exercise plans...
21aflower, it's good to see you like living over here in The Netherlands! There are more bikes than cars indeed and I don't know a single person in the whole country that doesn't own a bike. I like living here too
22I live on the craziest hill you have ever seen i would be scared that i would start down and never stop until i hit something haha--- I am not much of a biker anyway.
TINA!
23I have two - a road bike and a mountain bike - I love going on bike rides!
24Embarassing, but every time I try biking I tend to fall over on uneven surfaces, no matter how much I practice!
25My fiance and I live downtown and as soon as the weather is nice, we break out our Schwinn tandem. It's our main means of transportation in the summer. It's nice because everyone says, not only are you doing something good for the environment, your getting a little exercise in the meanwhile.
26Oh no-- I meant "YOU'RE!" Worst grammar mistake ever!!
27I agree with Bee87, I'm also from The Netherlands. I ride my bike everywere, I prefer riding it over taking public transportantion. It's also my 60 minutes a day exercise.
28Ofcourse our dear neighbours in The Netherlands have it easy since their country is so unbelievably flat.
29I'm Dutch! of course I have a bike, apart from walking and public transport it's the only way I get around.
And I must admit Feesje is right, it is flat around here
30Someone stole my expensive mountain bike so I currently ride my mom's road bike that she bought back in the late 80s when I got my first bike. I LOVE to go riding. I live 3.5 miles from school so when it's warm enough I ride instead of taking the train. Right now I am working 50 miles from home so I have to drive my car, and I miss working only 20 miles away because I was able to ride my bike to work if the weather was good.
