In recognition of Skin Cancer Awareness Month this May, Olay and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery have joined forces for the third year for "Skin Cancer Takes Friends."
Skin Cancer Takes Friends is a nationwide free skin cancer screening program that encourages everyone to bring their friends to a participating dermasurgeon's office for a free skin cancer screening. What's even better? This year, new mother of twins, Marcia Cross is the spokesperson. To find a participating doc near you, check out SkinCancerTakesFriends.org. Marcia is not the only celeb getting involved, Jennifer Garner and Tobey Maguire have signed yoga mats that will be auctioned off to raise money for skin cancer awareness. I just scheduled mine. I am scared to death of what they'll find (I grew up in Southern CA before we really knew how bad the sun was), but hey, you've got to do it.
1This is such an important exam. Because I rarely used sunscreen when I was younger, I did a lot of damage. Now that I've had several pre-cancerous growths removed, I slather up.
2Funny, I was just talking to a friend about getting moles removed. I have an appointment for a funny thing on my chis. aaahhhhhh!!!!!!
