The belief that pesticides do not have an effect on nutrients in foods, is being seriously challenged.

Recent news from an EU funded project has found that organic fruits contained more Vitamin C than their non-organic counterparts. Specifically researchers found that organic carrots, apples and peaches contained higher levels of vitamin C and flavonoids, an antioxidant. While last week, U.S. researchers revealed that organic kiwi fruit have significantly more vitamin C and polyphenols. If you're looking to up your vitamin C intake, you may want to go organic. Still confused about what organic products are worth the extra money? Then check out this post.

Healthy fruits. I love them.
1I read somewhere that organic veggies and fruits have more anitoxidants because they have to fight off all the pests on their own without the help of pesticides. so this makes sense to me. and those peaches look so tasty!!
2There was also a study released from Finland saying that conventionally grown carrots had more beta-carotene and organic carrots had more aluminum.
BUT, overall, there have been countless studies saying that there is absolutely no nutrient difference between conventional and organic fruits.
3If you want to eat foods that have been fertilized with cow manure (which is probably not organic), then go ahead.
It amazes me how people are scared to eat fruits with pesticides on them, which, btw have never caused a consumer death, are highly advanced and actually better for the environment than organic farming; but they are willing to eat fruit that has been fertilized with sewer sludge
4Saturn peaches! Those are my favorite. I can never find them anymore. Even Whole Foods doesn't have them as of late
5I read a magazine article (I think in Bon Appetit) that listed out the foods that you should definitely buy organically and those that didn't matter so much. I can't find the magazine and I'm not even sure if it was Bon Appetit but it would be great to see that list again.
6Interesting...I always thought that pesticides contributes to cancer
7Plus they just taste better!
8those peaches look so good.
