This was a total no brainer...
I mean... COME ON!
1Yeah seriously one just admits you're getting laid, the other admits you are having health issues down there. that really is a no-brainer.
2I think sometimes people buy the first one on purpose and display it at the top of their groceries. That annoys me.
3either way I always do the self check... or go to a female cashier
4I have never bought either item. esk4 comment sounds the best if you are having problems.
5I hope that one day no girl will be ashamed of protecting themselves.
6None is embarassing - why should they???
7i agree, neither. get over it.
8Exactly - neither, get over it.
9The only reason why I could invision buying yeast infection medication could be in embarrassing is because it might elicit sympathy from the person behind the counter.
10Rebecca I agree, if a girl is emotionally mature enough to have sex she should be mature enough to buy protection! It shouldn't be embarassing to look after the well-being of your body.
11I agree, I don't see the big deal in buying condoms, if anything, it lets the cashier know that you're being responsible. Same goes for monistat although since we're picking which is more embarassing, monistat to me is a tad bit above condoms.
12I don't think being embarrassed over it is a sign of emotional immaturity. Sure it probably shouldn't be a big deal but it's still indirectly alerting a complete stranger to personal information, as it were. I think anybody would be bothered by that, no matter how mature. That said, I do think the yeast infection meds are somewhat more embarrassing.
13i went to buy condoms at a 7-11, and almost immediately a crowd showed up, but i needed them so i bought them anyway and the cashier didn't put them in a bag for me she just handed me the box and gave me a disapproving look. i had nothing to hide the box in because i only had my wallet. i looked pretty dumb. yesss. haha. those kinds of things don't really bother me anymore though because i'm married and have a kid and there's worse things i suppose.
14The medicine, certainly!
15omg

*THIS GIVES ME SOME BAD MEMORIES*
17* i was so embarressed* darn typos!
There's always drugstore.com to keep your medicine cabinet fully stocked
18I think if people are embarrassed to buy condoms, they aren't mature enough to be using them.
19I totally agree, jendudley.
20It's none of their business anyway. I say... let them think watever they want.
21Ya, I don't like buying condoms, either, but I really dont' like buying girly medicine. Or my 'wipes' or tampons for that matter.
But ONLY because I realized that I've seen almost every Wal-Mart cashier outside of the store now that I've lived up there over a year.
Hahaha...one of them has a kid in my kid's class.
I can so see it "Wow, she looks young to have a ten-year old." Says another mother at basketball practice. Wally Girl says, "Yeah, well, she was in my line the other day, and she has a wicked yeast infection." Other Mother says "Oh, really? Yeah, she DOES look a little uncomfortable."
Mizz_D, I think you've solved my small-town problem!
22Maybe I am the only one, or perhaps it is my mother and father's guilt of having sex without being married, but I find it as if not more embarrassing to buy condoms. Like people wil think I am slut since I don't have a wedding band on. Plus it isn't like a yeast infections is an STD; so it shouldn't have such a negative stigma buying the meds for it. (I will coinute to use STD because I think there should be a negative feeling around STD)
