Canada has its fair share of great ways to get active while getting involved as well. So how about climbing The CN Tower?

When you climb the 144 flights of Toronto's CN Tower you'll be helping WWF-Canada, a global conservation organization, in the fight against global warming. What's more? By joining the climb you're helping the environment, having fun and getting a great cardio workout. You can join the public climb which is non-competitive (April 28, 2007) or the team climb, which is competitive (April 26, 2007). Donations are welcome and appreciated. wow, i might collapse halfway! lol.
1I've done this twice, once on the public climb and once on the team climb. It sounds like a huge undertaking but it's not, really! And the view is spectacular.
2wow - that's amazing! I know it says 144 flights but how many steps is that?? I would imagine the view vigilante! I remember when I did the Eiffel Tower and the view from there... I would imagine the view from the CN Tower! Wow!
3Hey, SU! The step count is about 1776 to the main deck and 2579 to the Sky Pod. According to Wikipedia it's the tallest metal staircase on earth. Wow, I didn't know that. Also in the Wiki article is a picture of the view from the observation deck, and in it I can see where I used to live. Just barely, there's more smog than view. Now if I hadn't looked up the step count I never would have known that, so thanks, SU!
4Well BRAVO to you for climbing that! TWICE!!
5That's awesome!! I just checked it out - thanks for posting it. Eating in that restaurant and checking out the view must be AMAZING!!
It is amazing, but expensive! Well, you pay for the view as well as the food, I guess. I hope you get to see it sometime! It is really worth the trip to Toronto. I should warn you though, the glass floor on the observation deck is NOT for the faint of heart. Especially when you have the pleasure of standing on it while some arsehole decides it will be funny to jump up and down beside you. Some people's children are such twits.
Take care, SU!
