If you've come across and/or are taking the weight loss drug Lexscl Fat Rapid Loss, there is something you should be warned about.
Health Canada is advising consumers to beware of Lexscl Fat Rapid Loss as this alert has been issued:
The Hong Kong Department of Health found Lexscl Fat Rapid Loss capsules to be adulterated with sibutramine and thyroid hormones. Sibutramine is a prescription drug used for the treatment of obesity, while thyroxine and liothyronine are prescription thyroid hormones. These drugs are not intended for self-care, and should only be taken under the guidance of a health care professional.
Side effects of the drug include increased heart rate and blood pressure, hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid gland) and chest pain. The pills (pictured here) are packaged in a white bottle bearing an orange and red label, inside a box with similar coloring.

ugh. it makes me so angry to hear that people will intentionally give themselves hyperthyroidism to lose weight. i struggled with an overactive thyroid for years, and it was by far the most difficult thing of my life. it doesn't just affect your metabolism-- it has a slew of physical, mental, and emotional effects that definitely aren't worth the easy out from dieting and exercising.

1llen Im sorry you had to go thru that! Thank god you have overcome right? But also for some the weight is just as hard to handle as the non weight its still not worth the risk though if your weight is that bad and you want a diet pill get your DRs advice first!
