That seems pretty off ... I'm doing Weight Watchers, and the cost is less than $40 per month, which is $10 per week. There aren't any hidden costs involved.
How is Zone less than Weight Watchers?! Maybe they're calculating the Weight Watchers for people who aren't monthly members, but rather the ones who pay-as-they-go?!
maybe she means meetings and grocery bill???
I think they are basing The Zone cost on the book and if YOU make your own food. If you have the food deliverd it is insanely expensive. I have to admit I am on Jenny and it has the been the only thing that has really worked for me. Plus they have a lot of different programs that are discounted. I got a discount because of the company I have my medical insurance through. I don't think you can put a price on your health. I am sure it depends on which JC center you visit and your counsler. I was up front and told them not to push a bunch of crap on me that I don't want or need. I have only been on it about a month and have consistently lost weight and I don't eat just their food.
I've done The Zone for years and the cost is really the same as my regular food bill. I make my own meals and have this down to a science... the $$$ is not an issue for a long-term Zone devotee.
WOW @ those prices. I know someone that was on Jenny Craig and it didn't cast them anywhere near that much.
I'd like to see a comparison to normal grocery bill to put this in perspective, since these diets replace the food you'd normally be buying. I bet that most of them aren't that much more costly, especially if you compare it to a "non-diet" diet consisting primarily of organic, healthy foods.
Loren I am on it now it doesn't cost as much as they say. It just depends on what you buy. As K said when compared to a regular bill I am sure the difference isn't much.
