Yoga's increasing popularity has been leading folks to get everyone in the family involved from grandparents to children to dogs. Yup, you read that right, dogs.

MSNBC is reporting the onset of "doggie yoga," which is being hailed as a new way for owners to interact with their pets as well as a way to get dogs to calm down. Part of the class includes gentle stretching and dog massage as well. I like the idea of getting pet owners and pets moving since both species are faced with an obesity problem these days, but whatever happened to an old fashioned walk?
Nonetheless, look for doggie yoga classes popping up (pet stores, animal societies, etc.) near you.

Horrible. Stop torturing the poor animals with yoga, sweaters, etc. They are not people!
2When I practice yoga at home I have to practically shove my dogs (2 labs) off of my mat. They love to sit, stand, lie on it. They always sit near and watch me, it is really funny. I wonder if they have been trying to tell me all this time that they want to do down dog....haha!
3Hahaha, I love the pic of the smooshed face. I think my dogs are a little too top heavy for yoga. Bulldogs have big giant heads and shoulders and little butts.
