I am so amped up for Spring and outdoor exercise. So here is a cardio workout you can do at your local track. Most middle schools and high schools open their tracks to the public when school is not in session. So you can workout there in the early morning or the evening. Some tracks even have lights for nighttime workouts. If you are curious why I like track workouts, read this post "In Praise of Running at a Track."
FYI: One lap is generally 400 meters, or a quarter mile (.248 miles)

If I had the stamina, I'd definitley try it. I can't run for my life though; I get winded way too fast.
1i always think about using a track, but then again i'm afraid that some high schoolers will come and use it and i will be shown up by them. it would make interval training so simple though!
2ReseySugar you should try the Couch to 5k running program. It is a great way to work your way up to running.
3Running at a track sounds like not so much fun. BUt I swim laps and seems like the same thing but with running.
4I LOVE the track!!! It's my favorite thing ever, but I am also a former track athlete so I am definitely biased. I love being able to dictate how far you've gone and usually tracks are better on your joints when you run. I'm excited b/c there is one being put in near my apartment and I will definitely try this out there! Thanks fitsugah!
5Eek. I don't think I can run this much. I can barely do 2.4km without stopping.
