i was worried there for a second that something that i've taken could be on the list but luckily i think that i'm ok for now. i don't take meds often, but there were a few months when my neurologist was really prescribing lots of things to me since we coudln't figure out what was going on with my head - and that's quite possibly the only time that i took prescription medication.

i always worry when you hear about drugs being un-safe or under review for side effects etc. it makes you wonder what the approval process really is to get something to market and if the manufacturers are trying to speed through the process to get things out first and they don't go through all the checks and balances.

That's interesting. I didn't realize how the FDA's process worked.

Again, the main point is not to freak out and suddenly stop taking your medication. The FDA is trying to become more transparent but consumers have to realize that some of the data and medications are robust and delicate. Talk to your doctor before you stop taking your medications.

I'm not taking any of those medications, but I seriously think the FDA needs to regulate the naming of drugs better. Some medications are spelled very similarly or sound similar and when the doctors write a script for a medication and the pharmacist tries to read it, a lot of confusion can happen. Another option would be to have it be mandated that all doctors must type out their prescriptions so they can be easily read by the pharmacists.
