I don't know about you guys but this new diet I have been reading about sounds like the perfect diet for all of us cookie monsters out there.

Here is a sample meal plan:
Breakfast- 3 Oatmeal raisin cookies with one protein (egg, slice of turkey bacon or piece of ham only)
Snack- 1.5 Cookie (you can pick variety)
Lunch- 4 Lemon cookies with piece of fish (cod, salmon or swordfish only)
Snack- 1.5 cookie (you can pick variety)
Dinner- 4 Peanut Butter cookies with a salad, 12 oz. almonds and 20 oz. water.
Snack- 1.5 cookie (you can pick variety)
Celebs are swearing by this diet due to the incredible (and fast) weight loss possibility, not to mention the high levels of antioxidants, vitamins L, M, N, O and P (wow, that's a lot) and good fats you'll be getting while on this diet. In just two weeks, cookie dieters have reported losing up to 10 pounds (without even hitting the gym). Imagine the benefits if you were working out too! There are only a few brand of cookies that will work with this diet, though there is a long list of those that don't. To find out if your favorite brand of cookies made the cut, read more
APRIL FOOL'S!!!!!!!!
In all seriousness, there is an actual Hollywood Cookie Diet that seems just as ridiculous as my made-up one. If you ask me, they used the term cookie rather loosely as each cookie is supposed to be a substitute for a meal. Further reiterating why I am not (and will never be) a fan of fad diets... cookies or not.

The Real Cookie Diet
Actually, I did a search for "cookie diet" on Google and found that there's more to the Cookie Diet story. It's true that Hollywood Cookie Diet, which popped up a few months ago, probably falls into the fad diet category. It's basically a bag of cookies with all the sugar, fat and carbs of any others. But there is a real Cookie Diet that's been around for more than 30 years. It was invented by a Miami doctor named Sanford Siegal. Here are some links I found on Google:

5I didn't fall for that one but if it WERE to be true then I'm all aboard! I would totally have trouble with maintaining my proper amounts though, haha!

22you had me going for a while there, until you mentioned vitamins L,M,N,O, and P, and then I felt like I was straight out of Sesame Street.
23That was a low blow!! But all the more fun to get the better of me.

28This is A joke!Right!!
29Vitamins L, M, N, O, P? I really hope that there aren't celebrities out there thinking that that's ... right...
30Just to let you ladies know... I have been on the REAL cookie diet (smart for life program) for 3 weeks now. I have lost 15 pounds so far. Your not eating oreos and chips ahoy all day but the cookies arent that bad and they really curb your hunger. Its real, and it is a great diet. www.smartforlife.com
You can actually lose weight eating cookies all day. It is a total of six cookies through out the day and a meal for dinner, 6oz of protein and 2 servings of veggies. This is the only diet that has ever worked for me.
