During the holiday season we are all pressed for time, but stress can turn you into a "bah humbugging" Scrooge. One thing that is guaranteed to help is exercise.
It is true that moderate exercise can improve your mood. Instead of thinking of your workout as something you need to check off your to-do list, remember exercise is great coping mechanism for stress. I have also found when I am in a mental pinch — at a loss of what to buy my nephews for Christmas, can't remember where I put the holiday cards, not sure how to handle my out-of-town guest list — exercise helps. Moving my body frees my mind, as well as lifts my spirit, and the answers often just come. And even if I don't find solutions to all my problems, post-workout I am a lot less stressed by them. How about you?

I agree. Exercise really helps my mood and is a stress reliever. I feel a zest of mental, physical energy, and sleep better than usual.
1that's why i am making my man come to the gym with me finally!!!
2It's funny I'm reading this now. I just got back from the gym and I spent a good 20 minutes debating whether I wanted to go or not. Finally, I told myself to go because I'd feel better after --- and guess what? I do!
3well i find that any time that i'm stressed - if i work out then i'm a much happier person since your body responds well to the work out. it's definitely something that could prove to be helpful this time of year especially.
4So true! I'm always in a better mood after going to the gym.
5If I don't go running a few times a week, it definitely makes me grumpy! I hate running, but feel great after.
6Working out helps me cope with stress too. I have to commute to work and in the winter I absolutely HATE dealing with snowy roads. It seems like if I work out beforehand, I have a better handle on things and I don't freak out as much.
