Did you know that your desk can be germier than your office bathroom? Sounds crazy but it's true.
Think about it: the bathroom gets cleaned daily. What about your desk? For most of us, not so much. So today, take five minutes to clean your desk. Wipe down your mouse, your keyboard, your phone, your desktop, and anything else you touch regularly. This is especially important if you regularly eat at your desk. It only takes five minutes but could save you from any number of pesky germs that could be lurking at your workspace.

I just cleaned mine yesterday!
1the bathroom gets cleaned.. daily?
You people have time for that?
2I've watched public bathrooms get cleaned, and sure, they use cleaning products, but often most of what "cleaning" happens is taking a towel and quickly wiping, rubbing the germs around in a spot and then using the same towel on other surfaces, like from the toilet seat to the flusher, etc. So I dunno.
Besides, I'd rather be exposed to desk germs that those other ones.
Just the idea.
3i keep clorox wipes in a desk drawer and this reminds me to do this today!
4Uh, JaeB, just to let you know...most of the germs on your desk are the same germs that you'd find in the bathroom. Lots of fecal coliforms, etc. I'm not terribly concerned with it; I just wash my hands often and I actually DO clean my desk daily with Dispatch cleaner b/c I work as a microbiologist in a lab dealing with germs all the time.
5Yeah, in high school, my advanced bio class swabbed all over the place (bathrooms, desks, water fountains, etc), and the nastiest thing in the school was the common office phone. I mean, it was constantly being used by oily teenagers and sneeze-hands and all sorts of stuff, but you never really think to clean the phone. After we did that, they started keeping Clorox wipes right next to it!!
