$15 Meal Ideas From Whole Foods, Seriously!

Whole Foods can be your friend and foe. Its selection of organic and natural foods is hard to beat, but its prices are often high. That is why I was excited when I stumbled across a cool feature on the site: Meals For 4 Under $15.

Under the category, there is a long list of great recipes that should cost you $15 to make in total. Not all recipes are the healthiest, though some are, but at least you know all the ingredients are fresh and organic — and not to mention economical. I'm eying this recipe for Curried Chicken Kabobs With Coconut Rice. Yum!

well this is misleading. i am sure it means $15 for all of the ingredients. so you can re-use that bag of brown sugar in multiple recipes. and that bottle of organic ketchup...

i think that if you're careful about what you're looking for at whole foods - it's possible to find a whole meal for under $15- i've done it in the past when i've been low on funds but didn't want to go to the grosss store on the corner Smiling

it's just a matter of having time to go up and down the aisles to find things, and to weight things or consider the size of produce when you're shopping around.

How can you possibly put a $5-6 cap on meals? Do you mean per person? I think $15 for a meal is great. Compare that to my family of 4 going out to eat at a restaurant, where it usually costs anywhere from $35-60.

i'm a single person and yeah i meant just for me and just the ingrdients i'm gonna use. if it's a bag of sugar and big part of it is left then i'm just gonna calculate the price of the sugar i actually used Smiling it's complicated, but that's what we student do while on a budget.
