New mother of twins, Jennifer Lopez has decided to do a triathlon this Fall. She is working with celebrity trainer, Gunnar Peterson to get ready for her bike, swim, and run against time. OK Magazine got the scoop from Gunnar — here are highlights:

“The workouts change daily, depending on the day, the time and the freedom,” he says. “She’s going to get it done because she wants to.”But don't think the workout regime takes time away from her and Marc Anthony's new twins, Max and Emme, 5 months. Having juggled multiple careers and business ventures in her life, the actress has everything "in check," Gunnar says, and would never prioritize something else over her children.
"She may be the most efficient multitasker I know. She literally has every aspect of her life in check,” he says. “She doesn’t have a nanny, a chef or a nutritionist. She makes time for the kids. Family comes first.”
Having twins is an athletic event, not to mention a test of endurance, in its own right so I am thoroughly impressed that Jennifer has her sights on a tri. Go J Lo, go!

While i'm certainly impressed, I just can't picture her doing a tri this fall...where is her training base? Does her trainer even know how to coach her for cycling, running, and swimming? Sure, for gym-based strength and cardio work outs and intervals he could be great...but I don't know, I just don't see it.
Plus...J Lo being elbowed, kicked, and mauled over by other, more experienced swimmers and triathletes? Good luck!
1no nanny? come on now...
2If I am anything like her when I am 39, I will be pretty happy.
3I'll be shocked if she completes this ... even a sprint takes a decent amount of training (.5 mi swim, 15 mi bike, 3.1 mi run). I'd also be super annoyed if I was an athlete in that race and had to manuever around her bodyguards (then again, I think I'd probably be in front of her during the entire race
)
4How fit is she right now? If she's not in terrific shape right now, she'll have a hard time doing a tri by this fall. Is she for sure just doing a sprint tri? Or is she doing a longer one? I dunno, Gunnar Peterson is a pretty good trainer, but I don't think he's good enough to train J.Lo to do a triathlon.
5She doesn't have a nutritionist...or a nanny...or a chef...??? I find that implausible. She is far too high maintenance not to delegate, delegate, delegate. I'm sorry, it is difficult to wrap my head around her triathlon quest, seriously...maybe a belly dance off with Shakira but a triathlon...nah!
6Yeah, I don't believe J.Lo doesn't have staff. I mean, nobody can have her career and look that great without lots of help.
7I don't believe she doesn't have a nanny, chef or nutritionist. She has like 10 people with her when she shops. Plus, she and Mark go out all the time and travel - who is watching the newborn twins? It just doens't make any sense.
8good luck girl!
9Ditto Crazyana
I'll be so happy when she finishes the triatholon cause I know my
girl can do it. I just want the non-believers to shut their pie holes!
10Not that we are non-believers, but people just don't know the amount of training it takes to be ready for a triathlon! If she said she was doing a marathon, then yeah, I believe she can complete that. But I have never even seen this woman on a bike - how will she complete the bike part? Cycling on the stationary bike in the gym will definitely not help her get ready for that part. And swimming with hundreds of other competitors in the water?
Is she doing bricks with her trainer? There are tri coaches out there who prepare triathletes for their next event - and like I said before, I don't think her trainer has the qualifications for it.
But if she finishes it, good for her!
