We all know that when exercising, it is great to drink water to keep hydrated but does the temperature matter? Which is better to drink while working out, cold or room temperature water?

I really prefer room temperature water to cold...cold just seems to hurt my head.
1Ditto wiggle.
2I have heard that cold water takes your body more effort to metabolize, so it burns more calories as well.
3finally got this right! you had an earlier post about this right!
4I've heard it the other way and this way...also that you are more likely to consume larger amounts of room temp water.
I've also heard that about cold water burning more calories.
Most of the time, I drink it at room temp because It's a Pain ITA to keep water in the fridge here at work. But sometimes a cold bottle of water is all I'm craving.
5I like to drink temp water because it's easier to go down and I drink lots of it. Cold water gives me brain freeze.
6I love cold water! Especially in this weather. I hardly ever drink room temp water - it's really warm here.
7I thought so too kendallina
