One of the biggest reasons we lose interest in exercise is because either our minds, or our muscles, get bored. One way we can keep this from happening is switching workout routines every few weeks or so to keep things challenging. Me, I like to change my routine each month. What about you?

I workout with a trainer twice a week and he's Always changing it up, we do different things all the time. But with cardio I don't mix it up too much. I started out running and elliptical, but now that I can't run, I do elliptical and am starting to learn how to swim. That's about it.
1My routine's pretty set in stone for the time being. Yoga/weights on Monday, mid-length run on Tuesday, cross training on Wednesday and Saturdays, weights and sprints on Thursday and my long run on Sundays. After the half training is over, I'll probably switch it up finding a new goal to work toward.
2Renee, I too use a trainer and its nice to have someone switch things up constantly for weights and circuit training.
For cardio, its pretty standard: running/jogging or boxing class.
3I usually buy a new exercise video about once a month b/c I get tired of the ones I have. I also end up doing different things, mostly because I just fall into it for one reason or another. So I don't really try to vary my routine, but it ends up that way as I'm trying to challenge myself.
4I switch it up DAILY! I always do different classes! That's why working out is my favorite part of the day!
5Daily..some days I just walk, others I might do muscle/Yoga/hulahooping on Wii Fit, bit of both, or boxing...I am finally to a point where I just need to do SOMETHING each day or I feel "off", but I do get bored easily if I have to see the same thing every day.
6I switch it up whenever I get bored, which usually happens about every 2 or 3 months.
7I try to switch it up a little every work out.
8During the summer I don't have a routine because I have a lot of time to do whatever work out I feel like doing. Today it was doing a bunch of workout routines from onDemand's Exercise TV, lol. Tomorrow I might do power yoga.
9But when I'm away at school, I only have time for my one aerobics group that I love. I try to do whatever I can besides that.
My cardio changes weekly or more often, since it gets tedious so quickly. My strength training is very consistent.
