After a run, I immediately hop in the shower not only to cool myself down, but also to wash off all the sweat and bacteria to prevent breaking out. Since I only have a few sports bras, I got into the habit of bringing my sports bra in the shower with me. I keep a little container of laundry detergent on the shelf so I can hand wash it really quickly, and then I let it dry over my shower rod. That way it's always clean when I want to wear it next, and I don't have to worry about doing a whole load of laundry just so I can have a clean sports bra. Plus, hand washing engineered wicking clothes helps to maintain the integrity of the fabric.
Fit's Tip: This is especially great to do when you're on vacation and don't have access to a washing machine. Just make sure you don't accidentally forget to bring it home!

Bric's
Red Herring
Airness
That's brilliant.
1Good call! I've never thought to do that :]
2that's a really smart idea - it's hard for me though since i work out during lunch, and don't really have a place to hang my sports bra after I've finished working out. i do lay it flat on a surface under my desk at work so that it can air out - but when i work out after work - i think that I'll try to do this. it makes a lot of sense to me!
3Good Idea fit!!!
4I do this all the time, with sports bras and delicate underwear.
5I do the same thing with my swimsuit also.
6That's a fantastic idea, one that I never thought of. I need to start doing that, a much cheaper alternative to buying more sportsbras (I never seem to have enough)!
7so smart...this morning I got ready for work at the gym...and forgot a bra...so now I'm rocking a not-so-fab uniboob at the office...
8This is very smart, I never thought of it... Thanks Fit!
9great idea indeed
10huh, that's a good idea. This way I can buy at least one good sports bra and not have to wash it every day.
11wow, the best ideas are often the most simple! This is brilliant, I'll have to start doing this after my runs!
12This really is a great idea!!! Thank you for sharing.
13Good idea!
14i shoulda thought of that before. all my workout bras are in the laundry but i dont have enuff to actually do laundry. dunno wat im gonna wear tonite
hmm
15I soak mine in the sink in Woolite while I'm in the shower then hang it when I'm finished
16This is really clever! The sports bras I have to buy are not cheap (I don't fit into most sports bras) and I bet this will help them last longer. It couldn't hurt, in any event.
17Now, if only could find a sports bra that fastened like a normal bra. Why is it so hard?
Great tip, but be sure to rinse out the fabric really well. Otherwise, you'll be in for a rash the next time you work out.
18awesome idea. i already handwash my bras and never thought of this. thanks!!
