Is this going to replace aspartame?

I'm not sure why there is a question about whether or not it is natural. Stevia is a herb. It probably has calories, just so little that it can be called zero calorie. like if you add cinnamon do you can't the minumal calories in it?

Hmmm I like it! My boyfriend will too. He is a diebetic so this stuff is GOOD for him haha.

Stevia has such a nasty aftertaste.

I bought tea that had stevia in the tea bag...and while it wasn't really that sweet when it hit my tongue...it was sweet afterwards...is that how truvia is going to be?

i can't speak for truvia, but i just started using SweetLeaf brand stevia, and so far, it's great. it's all natural--just stevia extract and inulin fiber--so i'm not freaked out about the contents. it beats splenda. the only trick is you have to stir it into liquid carefully, because the fiber can clump otherwise.

as far as the sweetness goes, it doesn't taste exactly like sugar, but it is very sweet. the one i've tried doesn't have an aftertaste.

I work at Rockefeller and went to try it out. I had the lemonade and liked it but there is an after taste. I prefer splenda...

I went to Rock Center - they spent MAJOR marketing $$$. They have a huge presence.

The lemonade was delicious, the iced-tea was so-so. I think it's good, but I'm leery - I don't trust Cargill as much as I do SweetLeaf (which I use).

The ingredients on the packet say -- Erythritol, rebiana, natural flavors.

There's a ton of powder/crystals in each packet.

I was excited about Zevia. Is it the same thing as this product?

i like the liquid stevia for mixing in with beverages -- no clumping! i'm not sure how i feel about this product. is it stevia? or is it stevia-based? is it the velveeta to cheddar cheese?

i think it's silly that stevia has to be sold as a supplement here b/c the sweetener companies are afraid of this little plant. now it sounds like they have co-opted stevia for their own marketing purposes. i'll need to do a double-take on the manufacturer's label before i try it.

I'd only try this if they somehow manage to get rid of that weird licorice-y aftertaste that Stevia has. I would try a Stevia-sweetened beverage, but yeah, if it tastes weird, I probably wouldn't try it again.

NuNaturals stevia is awesome. Tried the packets and they are sweeter and have a cleaner taste than anything else on the market. Love it.

Truvia was not the first FDA approved stevia sweetener. SweetLeaf Sweetener was. And after the tasting at Rock Center, it's clear that the SweetLeaf product tastes better.

I bought some. It is quite good. If you taste enough straight, there is definitely an aftertaste, but it wasn't bad like asparatame... just weird. I made some limeade with it and it blended away completely.

I didn't notice any problems with clumping. I poured it straight into a glass.

I didn't notice the aftertaste being licorice-like, but like I said, it was just kind of weird - it didn't quite match any flavor I know of, but maybe that's what the aftertaste was like. I'll have to try some more.

I am growing some stevia in my garden, and I find that the ripped up leaves of fresh stevia didn't have an aftertaste, try growing it yourself
