If you eat lunch at noon, but don't dine until the sun goes down, chances are high you're going to need a something-something to tide you over until dinner. Around three or four in the afternoon, you probably start craving some sustenance.
If you're watching what you eat and trying to limit the number of calories you consume, you may be tempted to head into the office lunch room for "just one bite" of the brownies your co-worker brought in, or just one pretzel, or just one whatever. This won't satisfy your hunger though, and you'll probably end up going back again and again for more "bites." This habit of grazing may make it seem like you're eating less calories, but you'll probably end up eating more since you're not really keeping track of how much you're eating.
Instead of grazing, make yourself a healthy snack. You'll feel so much more satisfied when you can sit down and really enjoy what you prepared, and you'll have more control over the amount of calories. Here are some healthy snack ideas that should help cure your cravings.

This is SO true. I'm sitting here now with a small strawberry Italian ice and a big glass of water. I ate lunch at around 12:30 and won't eat dinner until 6:30, so this and maybe a 100 calorie snack pack will help tide me over until then.
1I plan to eat lunch @ noon, snack @ 2, and snack @ 3:50ish cuz I go to the gym around 4:40ish
2My typical afternoon snack: natural applesauce and 2 rice cakes. Yum.
3I always have a light snack when I can. And I always try to make it a healthy one too.
4Snacking on a small bag of mini pretzels. Keeps going through my afternoon workday and the gym until I can get home and make dinner around 7.
5I never bother with little bites because the whole point is to not be hungry so I eat a proper snack, which is usually only the night time snack since I don't necessarily always feel hungry in the afternoon and my dinner isn't typically very late in the day.
6Yeah, I try to fix a real snack when I want to eat something between meals. It keeps me from grabbing unhealthy stuff and I usually pick things that actually tide me over (cut up veggies or fruit as opposed to random handfuls of Skittles or something).
