When you are on the road, traveling across country or just across town, during the Summer months, you often want a cool treat. A treat so cool it is frozen, but what to order? Take this little quiz to see if you should order a "flurry" or a "blizzard."

Whoa - that Oreo shake is a serious meal! I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to milkshakes, etc, and only like them from ice cream shops. They're probably still calorie-laden, but taste much less fake.
1Yeah if I'm ever craving one of these shakes/blizzards/floats, I remind myself that I could go get a huge scoop of really great rich ice cream and it will be tons of calories less than an 18 ounce drink!
2Wow I was surprised I got them all right and then doubly surprised to see the caloric content of these shakes!
3mmmm.....a huckleberry shake from paul bunyan. i think it's an idaho thing but soooo good.
4Lots of calories but oh so good!!!
51 out of 3.
6I am kind of glad I didn't do well - I don't induldge in any of these things...except maybe a McFlurry - about twice a year.
7wouldn't have any of it!
8I didn't do well. I've never had any of these treats except a blizzard, and I haven't had one of those for maybe 8 years.
9I would never eat ANY of that!
10well at least i know that the fact that i don't eat fast food desserts or even fast food at all makes sense. there's probably a lot more cals in that stuff than even i want to imagine.
11always choose McDonald's McFlurry's over DQ Blizzards! ALWAYS!
12anyone who has ever been on weight watchers can attest to this!
13Haha, i got them all wrong, but thats ok b/c I won't touch any of that food anyways.
14I like to make these things homemade with frozen yogurt and put different types of candy in there. The best choice is Nerds for the sour/sweet combo.
15All of you who said you'd "never touch any of this" are seriously missing out! I'm a double zero and I still indulge in ice cream QUITE often (at least once a week). I'll have a DQ Blizzard once every few weeks and I don't allow myself to feel guilty about it. If you keep work out and have a balanced diet, I think it's justified to enjoy ice cream.
16I agree with Lo Lo, I am the same size and I indulge every once in a while.
17EVERYTHING IN MODERATION!
are some of you who say you never touch any of this seriously saying you never lets yourself eat any kind of sweets or have any day where you let yourself eat what you want?
Yeah but not everyone wants that kind of treat. I haven't ever, and wouldn't ever, get any of these, not out of some sort of perverse self-deprivation, but because rich food like that makes me feel gross and I don't really like the taste of creamy things. No because I won't eat *any* treats.

19I love DQ Blizzards!
20Honestly, yes, I am one of those people who would not only never eat this stuff, but I don't ever eat junk food or have 'cheat' days as such. Because I don't WANT to eat junk food. It's not just about maintaining a healthy weight, it's also the fact that I feel physically worse after eating something that's highly processed or full of saturated fats, and that I don't want to put junk in my body. I like food that tastes good naturally, is helping my body and makes me feel good after I eat it as well as for the few seconds it lasts in my mouth.
Sorry, I think that came out a bit snippy.
I wouldn't ever judge anybody else for
their eating habits; I just get irritated when people assume that you have disordered eating patterns or are odd or somehow deprived for not choosing the "yummier" (which is subjective
anyway!) options, when you're actually choosing whole, natural, healthier foods.
21Wild Magelet - that's totally fair. You didn't sound snippy at all. We're all entitled to our own opinions. I would never accuse a person who doesn't eat ice cream of disordered eating patterns. I admit I feel pretty sluggish and disgusting after I indulge, but I have a sweet tooth that I can't help but satisfy. I'm curious what your indulgence is! Do share.
22This all sounds delicious, but seriously!
232 out of 3.. meh!
24Hi Lo Lo
My indulgences are probably going to sound a bit boring after what I admit
at least makes for good food porn in the pics above! In the summer, particularly, I love stone fruits and berry fruits. I think New Zealand apricots, peaches and strawberries are especially
yummy. I eat them on their own or sometimes blend them with natural yoghurt and freeze it to make a healthier version of frozen yoghurt. Or I blend frozen berries to make an instant sorbet.
My main indulgence, though, is bread, which I used to find it easy to eat way too much of, so I limit myself to the occasional sandwich and they're SO good when I have them.
Cheese sandwiches, warmed slightly in the microwave, have been my comfort food since I was
little. My mum makes homemade loaves of bread, so she'll bake me a wholemeal one every so often, which I slice and freeze, so I can pull it out when the carb cravings get too much for me.
Fortunately, though, my other favourite foods are chick peas and lentil soup, which I can have whenever I want, really. I have more of a savoury than a sweet tooth. Although it is a struggle
at times to turn away from the chocolate!
