Everyone is doing triathlons these days. Jennifer Lopez and Matthew McConaughey just did one last weekend. Felicity Huffman did a triathlon last year. Even the ladies at Elastic Waist have created the Lazy Waister's Triathlon, spreading the mileage out over the course of five weeks.

Another way to approach the triathlon is to enter as a team and split up the different legs of the race with two other friends. It is a great way to try a tri and is much less daunting than doing the entire race yourself. So if you were to make a team with your friends . . .

I had an old road bike when I was in college, after class I would go on long bike rides around town, it was a great way to relax and see sights as well as stay in shape. now that poor bike is just a rust bucket in a shed ):
15 weeks? Like you get that much time to complete everything?
2I like all three, but the one that comes easiest to me is biking. Time for a triathlon!
3I like (and do!) all three, but in order of pref:
41. run
2. bike
3. swim
None of the above...
51. Bike
62. Swim
3. Walk, I do not run LOL
Run, bike, swim. I used to love going on long bike rides when I was still in school, but running shoes are cheaper than a bicycle.
7Swim, bike, run (hmm maybe a tri? nah). Love love swimming. always been a water baby, always will be. but it can get redundant without changeable routines in the water.
i like biking because i can go outside and enjoy the scenery without putting tooo much stress on my knees. need a new bike tho :\
running on tradmill is just fine for me. i freak out when i run outside for some reason . ..
8run
9I would love to go bike riding!
10one time i went bike riding at the lake. With my mom in the truck in front of me and it was so fun!!
I'm terrible at all of them! The one I'm the least bad at is biking so I chose that.
11These days, I like to jog. Swimming is a close second.
12bike bike bike... and btw i got myself a helmet, and fit, you helped me to decide. i guess it's worth investing some money in your safety.
btw you totally should do a post about helmet and what they ar emade of and how they work, how to chose one that will be safe, does the price matter?
13i think that i would prefer to swim since that's always been my sport of choice even before i knew it. i grew up swimming and was on swim teams and coached them, and it's an easier work out for me since i hurt my knee.
i just wish that i had a better ipod protector that i knew would be water tight so i could have tunes while i swim.
14I chose swimming because I thinks it's the easiest for me out of all of the choices. Biking is good too, but I haven't done it a looong time. I am definitely NOT a runner.
15Hands down, running. Biking is a close second though. If I could swim better, I'd do a triathlon. But right now I can't swim more than about 50 feet before I get tired and my arms start flailing and stuff.
16I can't jog for more than 100 metres (I'm hopeless!). I can swim, but not quickly and not for great distances. My best bet would be biking!
17Right now, the only one of the 3 I'm actively doing is running - I'm training for a marathon!
But my goal is to start doing tris next year (sprint tri first), so I'm raising money for my bike fund so I can buy it for myself at Christmas!
Since I enjoy my spin class so much, I think I'd choose the bike, then run, then swim - its been too long since I've been in the water.
