There are plenty of ways to celebrate a bachelorette party. You could always skip the male stripper and have all your party guests learn some stripper moves of their own with striptease dance class. These days, stripper aerobics is super popular and could help prepare the bride to be for her wedding night, but would this type of party be going beyond some of the guests' comfort zone? Is pushing the sexy envelope a good thing to do for a bachelorette party?
So what do you think . . .

Canada Goose
Levi's
Alviero Martini
No!
Um...no way.
I think it looks fun, but I'd hate to alienate other people and have them not show at all for the party because they were uncomfortable.
I think it depends on the age and attitudes of the women attending. I can think of some of my friends who would love this...but just as many who would hate this experience.
I said cool, because it would be, for some people. Not for others, though. I agree with smarler; it just depends.
Not cool, considering the sisters of the groom were at my party.
i think it really depends. i have some really different groups of friends, including a few very religious ones (my maid of honor for one)...however i'm sure my other two bridesmaids would have found it funny (though one was his sister!). all in all i think i would have felt kind of self conscious to do something like that.
I think this sounds like a fun idea (the striptease class one could take to entertain their spouse) but I don't think it's cool for a bachelorette party.
I'd like to take the classes myself, but with a group of girls you are chancing alienating one of them and making some uncomfortable.
This is just something I'd never be interested in for any reason.
As long as everybody is comfortable with it, why not learn a "useful skill" for your honeymoon? HA!
oh god this is so corny and awful!
My idea for a bachelorette party is to celebrate being a woman, be that by eating yummy food, going to a spa or watching male dancers if you wish. This tacky idea reeks of another opportunity for women to spend time learning something to please men.
I think that this might be a fun thing for some girlfriends to go and try out together (like the class) but it's really just not something that should be done for the bachelorette party. I've heard it's a great workout- the moves can be challenging requiring both flexibility, finesse, and muscle. Plus, I've heard of classes where you get to use the pole as well - talk about a workout! And if it doesn't make you feel sexy (which it should) you'll probably still get a few good laughs out of your attempts!
No way. My 14 year old cousin was a junior bridesmaid in my wedding and she came to my bachelorette party. Something like this would've been really inappropriate. I didn't have a male stripper either...I just had a nice evening of giving each other facials and watching "Phantom of the Opera" and drinking smoothies and going to bed early so we could get rest for the big day.
Uhhh people, you don't actually strip.
You just dress all fun and they teach you different moves. I think people took this too literally.
i don't know... it depends on the guests and urself.
I know some people would really like it, but I wouldn't attend that type of party.
I personally am not that interested in it, but I suppose it could be fun.
i think this would be tons of fun!
For me, not cool. Personally, I wouldn't attend something like this.
Don't get me wrong. I dance every week, and could probably do a lot of those moves. But I find the premise of striptease dancing vulgar, even though it may be a great work-out. I love my body, and I dance to celebrate it, not denigrate it.
so original!
If I wanted to take some girls along to take a striptease class with me, I'll make sure to pick a more appropriate time. I might have relatives and relatives of my fiance's at my party, and some girls might feel really uncomfortable.
I said cool. We did this for my bachelorette and it was SO FUN! Not nasty at all. We did some dancing around chairs and got to use a pole and only one of the girls didn't do the pole part, but she said she still had a great time.
One suggestion, keep it small if you do it. We only had ten and it was perfect.
i think this sounds like a fun idea. i know that not everyone would be comfprtable performing or trying this out but i think its definitely better than cheesy male strippers.
I think it depends on the group of women. If it were mine and my mom happened to be there, um, no way.
This is definitely what I'm doing for my bachelorette party. I've always wanted to try it, it looks like so much fun.
SO cool. My bridesmaids are all between 22 and 32 and if this was just a TEENSY bit more affordable then I'd call and book it right now!
Cool! I teach a pole dance class and we do bachelorette parties all the time!!!
with the right people I think it can be fun. And I dont think it is something I would do to please men, since I think I wouldnt be able to do it without laughing at myself. Hottpink i would love to try your classes.
And wearing a tiny veil while bar hopping and drinking off penis shaped straws sounds very tacky to me.
Seems tacky to me. The class would be fun as a workout, but not for a bachelorette party (seriously... who wants to squeeze in a workout at a bachelorette party?)
My friends and I did this very thing and it was a BLAST!
hottpink, i also would love to try your classes!
I did this for my friend's bachelorette-- it was so much fun! Anyone in Maryland: Xpose Fitness is where we went and I highly recommend it.
I have tried Carmen Electra's DVDs and wasn't that impressed but I would be up for a class for my bachelorette instead of the plans to eat, drink and be wild.
hmm....big NO
I hosted a bachelorette party and we did this. It was very fun and not at all vulgar. I don't think there is anything wrong with learning things your "man" might enjoy as long as you enjoy them too. I did however get with all the girls before hand and ask if any of them would be uncomfortable with the class. None of us are particularly conservative so it wasn't a problem.
This would be something my friends and even women in my family would completely go for! My mom's very open as well as my aunt, sister, friends..I could see us doing this and falling on the floor laughing at each other. Sounds like fun!
I think this would be fabulous. In fact, I think I might just do it for mine.
