When working out, you might prefer to focus on toning a certain part of your body. Maybe you want to strengthen your upper body because you're in a wedding this Summer and want to look good in your strapless dress. Or maybe you want to tone your core because it's the only thing that prevents you from having lower back pain. Then again, you may be more into toning your lower body because you're trying to increase your speed for an upcoming race.

Whatever your reason, I want to know . . .

I'm starting to train for a race, so I've beefed up my lower body workout for obvious reasons.
1It's like all Butt, Hams & Abs for me:)
2run, run then run some more!
3Legs & Abs.
4lower part. I need stronger muscles on my legs for running. I only just started with my arms. And I'm soooo sluggish about working my midsection. I just think it's soooo boring!
5I usually try to do them all equal.
6Lift weights for my upper, do some sit ups for my core, and I either powerwalk, jog, or do the elliptical for my leggys!
When it comes to strength training I think my legs get it more. Because even when I'm doing upper body, in between sets I do squats, jumping jacks, steps etc. I have really strong legs and I like that. I do need to get on the ball about core more though.
7Upper body for sure...
8I do them all. abs every day, legs and shoulders, then arms and back on alternating days.
9I'm a pear....always my lower half gets more attention.
10I go to a lot of classes at the gym, and it seems like no matter what class it is, squats and lunges are the theme
11My core. I am constantly working on my abs.
12I work all over doing the Big Three: Strength, Cardio, and Flexibility. But my hips and thighs are always my trouble spot. And now that summer's around the corner, I focus more on my abs and butt.
13I need to work more my mid section for sure
14My core for sure. I had a lot of damage along the spinal column in a car accident and am hyper aware of that area after a year plus of rehab.
15I do not come from a naturally athletic stock of people, that's for sure. My genes have given me ZERO natural upper body strength. My core doesn't seem to be all that naturally strong, either. Combine all this with the fact that I like to bike, and my legs are my favorite part of my body, and the lower half of me wins in getting the most attention.
16I tend not to do strength training for my legs and let the running and swimming take care of those. I do a lot of upper-body exercises with weights though. And I agree with ROSITA... I know I should be working more core more often but it's soooooo borrrrrinnnnngggg
17When I do strength training, I work all 3 pretty equally. But then I run and take spinning classes, so overall I work out my lower body the most.
18All three pretty equally for me, simply because of the way my routine varies daily. Though, my butt and legs have been getting a boost lately.
19i run and work on my abs alot. and arms sometimes... i move them alot when i walk (exercise) ajaaj that should be enough..
20Got to save my bottom from the affects of gravity!
21Definitely lower body with all the running and cycling I do. I try to strength train a few times a week, where I work out my whole body.
22I work my brain the most
23I usually work more on my lower body...although i try to do a lil bit of everything! But i want defined legs and butt...my abs do need more attention!
24All three areas. In my opinion, it shows.
25all. but i wish i could quit working my legs at all, they are so muscular! but that would be hard to do since all cardio involves my legs!
26Everything. Why would I want to work on only one area.?
27All three pretty equally for me. Probably legs the least though
28all i want for christmas is an elliptical trainer
29i work every body part, but when it comes to a mere strength training i do more exercises for my upper body, mainly because i do specific exercises for isolated musclegroups which turns out to be more in this area.
30i don't do a lot weight training for my lower body, because most of the cardio stuff works them as well hard enough (running, skating, biking).
I work them all, but especially my legs.
31Cardio and yoga. I don't target anywhere specific.
32Legs and abs! I like my legs! My abs need a lot of work!
33I don't specifically work my legs because they get enough work from my running, jumping rope, and elliptical machine. I focus a LOT on my core though, mostly because it's the only real trouble spot I have.
34Everything!
35But I try to incorporate cardio in everything I do.
Jumping squats, jumping lunges,etc.
i feel immediately better with a flat stomach.
36I have just started working out regularly within the past month, and I try to focus a little bit on everything...
37When working out, I concentrate on working all parts of my body. I like to get a balanced workout throughout the week. I just make sure to keep my weight in control because I have what you would call an hour glass shape, but I am very very busty. The more weight I carry or gain, the bustier I get.
Some women gain weight and their chest remains reasonably the same size. Not me. So I concentrate on strengthening my back (especially lower) and my abdominal muscles but again I really like to just work all body parts out.
My favorite forms of exercise are walking (strenuous quick walking) around a local park, scenic area in the neighborhood and the beach (sand really adds more resistance to stepping/treading). I also enjoy kickboxing classes, the elliptical bike and stair climbing machine, tennis and hiking and trailing.
When it comes to hiking, I prefer safe scenic paths with alternating and reasonably challenging inclines but nothing involving mountain climbing or areas that are way too steep and rocky.
38I do push-pull-butt & legs weight training 3x's a week w/ a trainer. I work my abs just about everyday as they are a smaller muscle. My butt and legs I work 2-3x's a week as I am trying to obtain an nice apple butt. HIIT cardio 4-5x's a week.
39lower, haha, most ppl too!
