I know I should be brushing my teeth every time I finish meals and snacks. I definitely brush my teeth in the morning after breakfast and before I hit the hay, but when it comes to brushing during the day, well my only excuse is that it's hard to remember. What about you?
While we're on the subject of brushing teeth, please help me congratulate Sugar user Dove420. This lucky lady won the Ultreo Toothbrush contest. Wonder if she brushes after every meal now?

I brush every morning and every night
1It seems to be working, because I have never gotten a cavity in my whole life
Once in the morning, once at night. I'm not going to lug my toothbrush/paste with me to work. I wish I could say that, lovely_1. :*( I recently got my first cavity. I've been waiting 3 months for my health/dental to kick in... and now I FINALLY have an appointment on the 5th! I'm so excited (and scared lol).
2I brush morning & night and I've never had a cavity, either. My dentist did suggest at my last visit that I brush after meals since I eat every 2 hours.
3I bush my teeth after every meal...It's disguisting not to...With all that food in your teeth. I want my gums to be healthy, not swollen!
4I'm afraid to brush all the time. I feel like it will wear my gums away more, and I'm already dealing with gingivitis so I'm always rinsing my mouth out with Listerine.
5I keep a manual toothbrush and travel size toothpaste in my office at work.
6I brush in the morning and at night. Both my mother and my sister have had problems with brushing the enamel off their teeth, so I try not to brush more than what I feel is necessary. Twice a day is enough for me.
7It doesn't seem healthy to be brushing 5 times a day! I would like to keep my enamel in tact!
8Yeah, I am definitely one of those 5 times a day brushers.. but I usually am thinking about maintaining fresh breath.. not exactly getting the food out of my teeth. But fashiondip is right, the enamel has taken it's fair share of torture after an eating disorder when I was younger and too much citric acid intake over the years.. Less would probably be a healthy consideration..
9I brush twice a day, I'm not gonna be brushing my teeth during work, that's just weird.
The whole time my parents were paying for my dental bills, I never had a cavity. Now, I'm working and have to pay my own, all of a sudden I have four X(
10I don't know about "disgusting", angelfromlsu. I tend to chew sugar-free gum after I eat... it's like I have huge chunks of food sticking out of my teeth.
11I used to be obsessed with brushing my teeth a lot...but dentist said it's not so good for you since it can wear your enamel. It is enough to brush in the morning and before bed
(I chew gum and mints to keep breath fresh throughout the day)
12i don't get the people who brush at work
13i don't particularly want to see you hacking and spitting in the bathroom
"I rarely brush"
14I brush morning & before bed.
I FLOSS after every meal. It drives me batty to have anything between my teeth. Floss & rinse, that's all you really need after a meal.
Unless, you know, your meal was a box of Gobstoppers.
15I don't brush after every meal, but I do chew ADA-approved Orbit gum. That must count for something, right?
16Twice a day does it for me. I usually just chew gum or pop in some mints.
17I brush my teeth in the morning and at night but I do carry those little disposable finger toothbursing things around with me. They're great!
18Oh by the way...I have braces...I definitely get food stuck in them. But I do think I will continue to brush at lunch after I get them off. I don't really brush the enamal. I concentrate on the gums.
19I brush morning and night...and in-between I chew gum after eating...so I am hoping that does something...it makes my teeth feel better.
20Just 2x a day...
21I can't believe some people said they rarely brush...how disgusting.
22I brush in the morning and at night and I've never had a cavity in all my 24 years! It's not good for your gums or teeth to brush too often.
I brush right after i wake up and right before i go to bed. I used to brush more than that but my dentist told me to stop brushing more than twice a day to keep from brushing the enamel off my teeth. So now I rinse really well with water after meals.
23I do brush in the am and pm, but don't always floss! bad... also, i think you're supposed to brush for at least 2minutes? i don't do that either...
24I brush in the morning and evening
25I should brush after meals. I enjoy it. I do floss regularly.
26I do have a travel toothbrush/toothpaste in my desk drawer, but I don't always remember to brush after lunch.
So usually just twice a day for me.
27I don't have time to brush after every single meal. I brush twice a day, floss once a day, and rinse with mouthwash after brushing. My dentist tells me I have gorgeous teeth, so I must be doing something right. Also, I've heard that OVERbrushing your teeth could be a bad thing too...it could wear away your tooth enamel.
