If you have issues with sore muscles or chronic pain, getting some body work like massage or acupressure are wonderful ways to relieve the discomfort. It is also great to be able to get relief at home, and that's exactly what the Acuball System ($60) allows you to do. Using the Acuball, you can massage your neck or face (sinus problems) as well as larger muscle like your hamstrings or shins. Plus you can heat the Acuball and the combination of heat and pressure on aching muscles helps to circulate blood to that area and loosen up muscle fibers, which relieves tension and your pain.

This kit comes with one large Acuball, an Acuball Mini, the Feel It? Heal It! book, and a 60-minute guided DVD. The video will show you specific exercises that utilize these balls. One of my favorites is to lie on your back with the big Acuball on the upper part of your spine, and every 30 seconds or so, you slide the ball down one vertebrate. The weight of your body and the pressure of the ball creates an amazing release of tension in the muscles along each side of your spine. If you don't want to buy the entire kit, you can buy one Acuball ($29.99) instead.

Looks like you could get a similar effect from putting a couple of tennis balls under your back, but that's just my opinion.
1i have a dog toy that looks just like that! same color too.
2I brought something like this to show my physical therapist, and he threw it in the trash (jokingly). It's not enough support. Use a foam roll instead with adequate neck support (like a tiny little Pilates half-moon pillow).
3or a rolled-up towel
4It looks cool and would be awesome if it works well. However I would want to see user reviews before I plunk down $60 on it.
5A towel would work...
6OK for those of you who said a towel or tennis balls would work all I can say is that you have definitely never used the Acuball or you would never be saying that - it is AWESOME!!!!
I used to use tennis balls (for many years) but simply can't after using the Acuball - it is so far superior.
I put it behind my back at the computer and it makes me sit up with proper posture effortlessly.
Once you heat up the large Acuball(50 seconds in the microwave)
and lie back putting it under your neck or back it feels divine. The smaller mini is amazing under your feet and behind your shoulders up against a wall. You have to try it to believe it!
The book that comes with it is great as well, I especially liked the chapters for stretching and computer users - they alone are worth the $60. The DVD is very high quality.
So overall I'd say you will never regret the $60 - what does one massage cost? I use this everyday and it's probably saved me a few hundred by now.
A towel? PLEASE!!!!!
