Here's a short quiz to test your gym and fitness smarts. If you answer all these questions correctly, it doesn't necessarily mean you are fit. But it does mean you have the knowledge to get there. Take it and test yourself.

Apparently I don't know anything haha
1I really feel my butt when I'm on the stair machine. But I feel it jogging too so who knows
Sorry, but this quiz is absurd. There are a lot of different types of fitness, and I think it is kind of demoralizing to imply that someone who can't answer some random jargon questions isn't as "fit" as someone who can.
2Can anyone explain the walking up/down and blood sugar correlation and why it's so important? That was the most confusing question on the quiz!
3Wow i suck. I thought i knew stuff about fitness. Thanks for killing my confidence, fit!!! LOL. k/ding
4i thought i knew a lot...huh.
5I thought the stairstepper would really work the glutes. I guess the treadmill makes a lot of sense especially if you use incline.

Walking down stairs / downhill offers unique health benefits when compared to walking up stairs or up a hill. Going down stairs reduces blood sugar levels which can reduce your risk for developing type 2 diabetes. So don't write off walking down stairs.

I wrote this in the intro to the quiz:
7"If you answer all these questions correctly, it doesn't necessarily mean you are fit. But it does mean you have the knowledge to get there." So I agree, knowing jargon doesn't mean you're fit. Regardless if you know these things or not, hopefully you're inspired to put your knowledge to use and get up and get moving.
3/5 , I don't go to the gym often (i.e. at all) and try to exercise in my house (emphasis on try)
8Wow, question 3 sure was hard ... considering you can read the name on the side of the machine.
9wow - i know SOO LITTLE about these things. my bad!
10Jogging on the treadmill will make you lose your booty, if you want to firm it and shape it go with the elliptical.
11No if you want a firm butt than SQUAT! Deadlift, squat lift heavy that will firm. And running sprints and hills.
12I'm not sure I agree with the stairs factoid..not that I think its false but...it doesnt really make sense to me
13I know stuff about fitness but when it comes to the random machines...that's not my style. Ask me questions about how to use the stationary bike or walk the track and I'm all over it!
14aww geez, there i was, thinking i was so fit and knew everything, and i only got two questions right. doh!
15So I got a 2/5. I have run track since 7th grade (ran in college) and workout 6 days a week for 1 1/2-2 hours (i'm a gym rat). So I might not have known these questions...but I can guarantee that I am fit! (focusing on doing fitness competitions!)
163/5...time to hit the locker room. that was tough.
17Wow.I thought I knew my stuff.I got 2/5
