Stretch It: Calves
Curb Stretch
This is my favorite post-run calf stretch.
- Find a curb, or step> and alternate hanging your heels off the edge.
- Hold for about 10 to 15 seconds. Try slightly bending the knee of the calf you're stretching to deepen the stretch.
- You can do a similar stretch at a wall, with your foot flexed, toes up the wall, and heel on the floor. This variation is safer for your Achille's tendon.
