Learn Cheerleading Skills With Paula Abdul

She got her start cheerleading with the Laker Girls. Paula says, "It's the fundamentals I learned in cheerleading that have been my foundation for success."

This exercise video involves stretching (yoga), power moves, lunges, clapping (that's right), and jumps. "Practice until the moves become a part of your body, and watch how your confidence grows and grows."

Paula ends with, "Now let's get lean, get toned, and get the legs, abs, and arms you always wanted by giving it your all."

I have to say, it looks really fun, even though it is slightly on the cheesy side. A lot of girls always dreamed of being cheerleaders, so here's your chance to learn those moves.

    Hmm. It doesn't even look like Paula is actually involved in any of the on-screen workouts, does it?

    Paula is real annoying, but the workout actually does look kinda fun (and TheFairestLady is right it doesn't look like Paula actually does any of the workouts)- plus cheerleaders are usually in awesome shape.

    She is annoying nowadays, but she has always been a fantastic choreographer, so I would check this out.

    ....After I checked out the vid, it does look cheesy ('remember to check your breathing 'cause you're gonna need it'?). But I like cheesy workout vids! They make me laugh which is what I need when I work out!

    cheerleading and gymnastics give you tons of leg and ab muscles. strong and sharp motions will get you great looking arms! take it from a former high school and all-star cheerleader and current cheerleading coach. Smiling

    I've seen her DVD and the DVD Cheer Like a Pro by Cheeracise. Cheeracise Cheer Like a Pro blows away Paula's. They do the routines on a field, not in the street. The plyometrics is great and cardio is great. I just love the dance routines. The girls instruct great.
    They have a Cheeracise dance fitness DVD I love also. The Cheeracise routines and quality are just soooo much better and more fun.
