I am always on the look out for cool and comfortable gear to wear when I am working out. I just found Fit Couture and their clothes seems to fit the bill.
This Houston based, woman owned company has a pretty simple mission:
- Provide the most exciting styles for women's fitness apparel available anywhere.
- Offer the widest selection of color choices on the market.
- Use only the best specialty fabrics and emphasize high quality construction.
The clothes are basic black with splashes of color. I love the colored waist bands, which are great if your black top and black pants are somehow different shades of black (which happens when you mix and match your "labels").
It is easy to imagine wearing their American made clothes to Pilates or yoga and then to the grocery store. Plus there are consumer reviews to help you figure out what piece is right for you and your workout. Fit Couture provides some helpful descriptive phrases: "bra friendly", "loose fitting (but not at all baggy)", and "fitted, but not skin tight."

I love the look of the clothes, but I just don't understand why work-out clothes are so expensive. $55 for a pair of nylon/spandex pants? Maybe someone can help me have a better perspective on this issue.
Where does everyone go to get reasonably-priced work out clothes?
1Well, I buy the cheapies at Wal Mart & Target, and they work just fine for me. I got a nice pair of yoga pants at Wal Mart for $14, and I always find myself reaching for those when it's time to work out. I should really go get some more.
2Oh, those are really nice, but $40 and more for an ordinary work-out shirt is a little much. Except you get some muscles fro free by wearing those clothes. *lol*
3I don't think this stuff is too pricey...it's a steal compared to the Lululemon stuff I wear.
4yeah expensive stuff, but then again I actually like looking cute at the gym. Also check out bebe Sport stuff.
5Yeah, I can't afford stuff like this, either. I "splurged" for WalkAmerica last year and spent **gasp** $17.99 on a pair of warm up pants from Kohl's!
My favorite are my yoga pants from Target.
6Target is as much as I will pay for clothes to sweat in, and they have great yoga stuff. Unless you are professional or an instructor I could not imagine why anyone would spend this much on gym wear.
7LOVE all the pants.
8the prices are ridiculous here too. plus, mine is a ladies gym, theres no one to look cute for!
i just wear whatever i can find in my closet. it works fine and its money saving!
9I like the look of them...but they look like the workout clothes from Victoria's Secret. And how can you not love 2/$40 yoga pants from VS? Especially ones that are cute enough to stop by the grocery store on the way home and not be horrified to run in to someone you know?
