oh noes! i thought for sure minneapolis was in the top ten fittest cities!
Louisville, KY, is #9 on the fittest? That's so hard to believe. I live in Louisville, KY, and I've never seen more overweight people than here.
haha!!! Kansas City is one of the fattest! that's not surprising to me at all! we lived there for two years and people kept calling me 'cute' and 'little'.... i may be cute, but i ain't little!
#10 Boston, looks like it's in NJ
yay baltimore!
Yeah, I was kind of surprised about LA too. I mean, sure there are some chubbers here, but there are also a loooot of anorexics. Not a lot of balance, that's for sure.
Wonder where DC ranks...prolly close to baltimore?

Why don't you wear the face you have when I am not around?
Im closer to DC than VA beach, but I will go with that...
I would think that DC is probably pretty fit - so many people run around here, and there are lots of gyms, and if one of the criteria is outdoor parks, we definitely have a lot of open space. (I'm guessing lack of parks is why those 2 SoCal cities are ranked fattest - you guys are running out of open public green space out there!
I'm surprised only one Southern city made this list. Memphis. Oh that Southern Cooking!
I'm really surprised about LA too since they have that Hollywood lifestyle in everything.
bs. total crock. If Boston and Louiville are on the top 10, I don't buy that Longbeach and Chicago are on the bottom 10.
I think the scientific method used for this survey was the fine editors of men's journal, post case of cheap beer, playing darts with a map of the US.
Baltimore #1?! Hmmmm... I find that hard to believe.
dang arthur dissing my city
Boo - KC is the 9th fattest city!!
all i'm dissin is mens journal.
Milwaukee is in the 10 fittest cities, dang, I lived there for 10 years and it was hard to find a health club -- men were fit but women were pudgy. Too much beer, bratwurts and cheese... wow, must have had a 100 percent change!
I lived in San Antonio for a few years, and at that time it was the fattest AND sweatiest city in the U.S. Texans have a great sense of humor so they had a good time with those standings.
They only compared 50 cities? That's really scientific. Way to get a great sampling.
Haha, my dad saw that Baltimore was number one and said, "Well, that's surprising. It's where all the crack addicts are."

Seattle is the 8th healthiest? I read a similar ranking (maybe it's the exact same list) in a women's health magazine...I think it was Self. Anyway, Seattle does have a lot of open parks, but the people here look pretty overweight.
Haha, I live like a mile outside of Boulder and I do believe that the fittest people in America live in Boulder. I haven't seen very many overweight people here, if any at all actually. I lived in Boston last year and I definitely agree that no one is very overweight there. BUT there are a lot of unhealthy attitudes there! haha, just kidding, I miss those massholes!
Boulder or Denver is usually on the list but I think Colorado Springs is on it this time because of all the training centers. That might skew it a little. Granted, people come to the Boulder area to train as well but pretty much everyone just takes advantage of the outdoorsy setting. If only I could go play tonight...
Milwaukee #5? How can that be? Everything is deep-fried with beer and cheese here! Oh well, that's still awesome.
