Backbends can be really challenging for some people, so getting a little help from a partner can make a world of difference. This partner yoga pose called Cobra Hero will open one person's spine, chest, and shoudlers, and the other person will get a nice quad and shin stretch.

If you want to know how to do this pose with a partner then read more.
- Partner #1 (brown shirt) lies on her belly, with her chin on the mat and her arms by her sides.
- Partner #2 (purple shirt) gently sits her shins on Partner #1's bum. She holds Partner #1's hands and then leans back toward Partner #1's feet. This will lift Partner #1's chest off the mat. Partner #2 wants to make sure she's sitting back far enough so that her knees aren't pressing into Partner # 1's back.
- After holding this pose for five deep breaths (or as long as both partners decide), then Partner #2 gently sits back up, lowering Partner #1 back to the mat.
- Now both partners switch roles.

Wow. You'd reeeeally have to trust your partner to not let go of your hands and serve you up a heaping plate of face-plant!
1I could MAYBE do this one with my husband, but I'd have to be on the top because he weighs twice what I do. Having his big ol' legs planted on my butt would be more than slightly uncomfortable!
