Sometimes I feel like Kashi's number one fan because I love (and eat) their food so much. Their GoLean and GoLean Crunch cereals have been staples in my pantry for a while now (even my girls love them), so I was itching to try something new. I picked up a box of Autumn Wheat.
Want to know what I thought and see how it compares to my other two favorite Kashi cereals? Then read more.
Here's the nutritional info of one cup of cereal.

This cereal was really satisfying, and I liked how the squares were bite sized. It had a warm sweet flavor and I liked how it soaked up my milk and was chewy. I had to eat this cereal right away though, because if it sits too long it becomes very mushy.
Now that I see how it compared to the other two Kashi cereals, it's definitely not as healthy. It does have no sodium so that's a plus, but it also has much less fiber and protein. Since I loved the taste and consistency of this Autumn Wheat cereal, I'll definitely buy it again, but I'll mix it with GoLean to get a little extra protein and fiber.

I like to eat Autumn Wheat right out of the box for a snack.
1I love Kashi Go Lean. I will give this a try!
2I mix it with a high fiber flake cereal, it's nice that it's not packed with soy like most of their stuff.
3I loooove Kashi Vive!
I just started buying it last month.
It's 170 calories for 1 1/4 cup, 2.5g fat, 12g fiber, 10g sugar
4and it tastes like toasted graham & vanilla .. so0o0 good !
Try the Cinnamon Harvest. My husband thinks that all health food tastes like cardboard, but he eats the Cinnamon Harvest every day. The stats are pretty similar, but the cinnamon taste totally kicks butt!
5I don't get the Go Lean calories.... if there are 30 carbs and 13 proteins the calories (without even including fat) add up to 172... my guess is that they're only including "net carbs" but since they don't do that for their other cereals I find it misleading.
Stick to Cheerios!! 100 calories per cup with a little fiber and protein too!
6I love Kashi's Autumn Wheat, 7 Grain Honey Puffs, Go Lean Crunch and the plain & blueberry waffles they make. Yummy!
7fit, you definitely aren't the only kashi addict!! i absolutely love all their products...go lean crunch is my staple cereal, but i also really like the "strawberry fields" kind. so refreshing and crunchy
8sweet...adding it to the list..
9LOL, I'd try these except I'm not a fan of mini-wheat-type cereal. It cuts up the inside of my mouth for whatever reason. They sound like they'd TASTE pretty good, anyway.
10Cheerios is loaded with sodium -- definitely not a great alternative to Kashi cereals.
I LOVE the cinnamon Autumn Wheat and the regular. Kashi used to have this delicious organic cranberry cereal, and I remember it used to be a big hit at my local health food store. I wonder if/why they stopped making it.
11I love everything Kashi... but if I am super hungry, this won't keep me full like the GoLean line of cereals.
12Never been a huge fan...
13i was reading this post and thought the nutrition info on the GoLean Crunch seemed a bit off, I eat it every morning so I see the nutrition facts all the time, even through my sleepiness I must sort of remember them!
14So i grabbed my box and it says per serve it's 190 cals, 100mg sodium, 37 carbs but still 8 grams of fiber. That's weird, why is it different? It's all made in the same place!
Yeah the Autumn Wheat is very tasty, but no protein! so you end up getting hungry earlier..
15Yes, I pretty much love all things Kashi, as well. Whenever I have the Autumn Wheat or Cinnamon Harvest I add a little Fiber One cereal to it to boost my fiber - 1/4 cup of Fiber One has 7 grams of fiber and just 30 calories so it's a great addition!
16i love love this stuff. and it's definitely better than frosted mini wheats...
17I got started eating Kashi years ago when it first became available in San Diego. It has so much more flavor than ordinary cereal!
18Kashi products are just soo good!
