If you're not one to drink water throughout the day then you may be missing out on some major calorie-cutting benefits. USA Weekend reported on research that found that those who drank around seven cups of water a day ate, on average, 200 fewer calories than those who don't. This could be because your body can mix up the feelings of thirst and hunger, which means you may think you're hungry when you're really just thirsty. So keep a cup nearby and remember to drink up, you just may end up eating less calories that way.
Fit's Tip: If you don't like plain old water, there are tons and tons of low- (or no-) calorie flavored waters out there for you to try. A lemon or lime slice popped in my glass does it for me.

I knew this was true already! That's why I have been tryignt o drink WAY more water here lately
1I drink so much water and then I was it down with chips X( lol. 'Least they're toasted
2I usually drink two bottles of Poland Spring at work and a bottle of Vitamin Water at lunch. I drink more when I get home too. I know I get enough.
3I'm YaoMing and I approve of this blog
4I love my H2O.
5You are so RIGHT! I also just found a new brand of water called Owater- they have unsweetened flavored water and Infused water. I love them both, it's a treat if I get to drink an Infused water since it has 70 calories but it's great after a workout or a ride around town. Even better is that there is no High Fructose Corn Syrup or artificial sweeteners in it.
6i don't like water on it's own, but have found things I like to put in them. Cucumbers, limes, lemon, orange, I also like those propel packets, But I use one in double the amount of water. Too sweet otherwise.
7not to be nitpicky...but the title should read "Drink More Water, eat FEWER calories"
8I have always drank a lot of water. And I don't like juice or pop so it's always water with me
9This is true! I've been extremely good with my water intake lately and I do notice that I tend to consume a few hundred calories less when I drink my water. It just does the trick! Water was an acquired habit for me, but once I got into the habit, now I like it so much more than sodas and other drinks.
10I absolutely love drinking water. I use a Wal-Mart brand that is like Crystal Light to flavor my water. What's great is that this Wal-Mart brand (called 'Great Value') comes in quart-sized so you can make pitchers of it and put it in your fridge.
Even BETTER, is that this Wal-Mart brand comes in an assortment of flavors and is NO calories AND is sugar free. Definitely the way to go.
Also, this brand is usually only at super center Wal-Marts so stop on by and stock up. sorry this is so ridiculously long, i just love the stuff and H20 rules!!!
11i love water... i feel so dried out if i don't drink it steadily throughout the day.
12I've started being good about drinking water. I never used to, but now I force myself to drink water even if i'm not thirsty. I keep my bottle on my desk at work and make myself drink!
13I sometimes drink too much water... I drink my water from a halfliter-bottle, so I can count my intake - sometimes I've had 2 liters of water + several big cups of tea already at lunchtime.
Seriously, the bottle is a good way to get fluids... If I drink from a glass I just forget about it and get cranky and thirsty all the time + I can take my bottle with me when I go out.
14I love lemon/lime in my water too but I need to get better about drinking more water...especially at work. Sometimes I really just need some caffeine instead of water.
15I keep a 1L bottle for water on my desk, and I fill it up in the morning, finish it by lunch, and then fill it up again to finish by the time I go home...I try to drink more if I can...but I hate going to the potty so much!! LOL!
16i drink TONS of water all day and i even just fill up a cup with ice and chomp on that throughout the day too. i figure that it equates to a cup of water since it's full and it would melt. i don't know if it really impacts the amount that i eat
17I have got to work on drinking more water! It's my great fitness flaw.
18I love it. I drink on average 72-80 ounces a day. I do more on my workout days because one loses more water when sweating. Plus the muscles need the water to rebuild after a good lifting session.
I lost a lot of weight and attibute a significant portion of it to drinking tons of water. My skin feels great, my energy has increased and I just feel an overall sense of well-being.
19I dont believe this at all because I drink A TOn & eat a ton! ha ha!
20runnerjenn--I LOVE those Walmart flavor packs too! My favorite is the Cherry Limeade one. I try to drink a lot of water, but sometimes it gets boring, so I put orange slices and cucumber slices in mine to make it more interesting.
21I really can't understand how people can not like 'plain' water. It's so pure, so refreshing and cool...
22I love drinking water =]
And obviously you'll eat less because the water can fill you up for a bit.
People need to remember that you can also contribute to your daily water intake by eating things like fruit and veg =] It doesn't all have to be Evian or whatever.
23i also love drinking water,but i think this doesn't work for me..the more i drink water,the more i swell..n put more weight,don't know why..
