We've all had a week to adjust to the sudden change of morning light, as in the unfortunate lack of it. Daylight is an important motivating factor for those early morning workouts, so I am wondering . . .

I am a morning person but not a morning exerciser.
If am am traveling and don't have to get up to make lunches and get kids off to school, then I'll squeeze in a morning workout.
Otherwise I'm more effective and have time to complete a full 60 minute workout during the afternoon or early evening.
i have been exercising in the morning recently, but this week i'm going to switch it up and exercise in the afternoon
I usually work out after work in the afternoons
Yes - but I live in Scotland and we haven't had our spring daylight savings yet. It's still light when I wake up! And after a winter of 9am sunrises and 3:30pm sunsets, I'm jumping out of bed in the morning. Can't wait for longer days.
I usually work out after work. I wish I had the time to do it in the morning.
I work shifts so there are some weeks when i exercise in the morn (i prefer it) but some where i do not.
I love being able to go straight home after work and not having to fit in exercise.
I work out at night.
just woke up... heading to the gym now before work
I am now adays working out mid afternoon and evening. I used to workout in the morning. But now I have so much to do in the a.m. I would rather workout at night, and not watch TV.
Hooray for the time change. I love being able to leave work and still have 2 hours of daylight in which to run!
just got back - 20 minutes of weights, 30 minutes on the Stepmill, cruches, pushups and showered...all before 8am! Yay!
No, but Monday is my rest day. Although I might do a yoga DVD tonight because my muscles are feeling a little tight.
I am going to after work
Later today when I am finished with my work!
I don't function before 10 a.m., so I work out when I get home from work. With the clocks turned forward, I don't have to run in the dark when I get home!
Yesterday morning.
I have a day off from working out....training for a 1/2 marathon, so no workout for me on Monday
I hit the gym at 7 AM most weekday mornings--even on Mondays when it's so hard to get out of bed!
Working out in the morning forces me to go to bed earlier!
Yes,I had a 9:30 am appt w my personal trainer.
I think I am PMSing..not feeling that energetic today.
I am having such a tough time getting out of bed ever since i've changed the time...its still so dark and cold outside!!
I have a hard time giving myself enough time for everything I need to do in the mornings, but I'm try to fit in at least 10 minutes of exercise every morning to wake me up and get my metabolism going. Then I do a 30-45 minute workout in the evenings after work. I just started up this routine after YEARS of being lazy, and I'm already feeling great!
I like to do a bit of cardio in the morning and a bit of strength training, but usually only 10 min of each. and then i do another 20 min of each after work...unfortunately this morning i woke up with a terrible pain in my right knee...not sure what i did to it, but all i could do this morning was crunches and push ups...no elliptical. hopefully it feels better when i get home, cuz i had a lazy weekend that i need to make up for
I said no never mornings, but the reality is never mornings on weekdays. My ideal time to work out is probably around 11 A. M., but that's not possible, so I do evenings. (I'd have to wake up at 4:45 to get in a full workout in the morning, so that's a NO WAY!)
Uh! Every MWF I get up and head about half an hour to a downtown gym at 10am where I meet with my personal trainer. And today, after getting only 3 hours of sleep, I went down there only to find out that he wasn't there! (long story, he needed 9am today and didn't get really get ahold of me) so now i get to go to my gym later this evening for my own workout...gerrr.
That's the worst, when you are planning to workout and then someone ELSE stops you lol.
i love running at night! i'd run at midnight if it wasn't so dangerous
can't pry myself out of bed any earlier than 6am... working out AFTER work.
well i'm glad you guys are all caught up after DST...... i woke up at 330ish today :-[ GROSS.. so ye needless to say i did not get in a morning workout haha. now i have to go in the evening when EVERYONE is there... grrr
Yeah - so far I've walked just over 3 miles and I'm about to do some lunges and hip lifts for my midday routine.
I work out after work. I look forward to it all day!
had a very busy weekend, w/ lots of activity... got myself to gym, but was just too tired to really do much. jogged for about 20 min and called it an off day.
I didn't work out, but I did get outside for a quick 15-minute jog.
I'm an afternoon/evening gym-goer. I have a tough enough time waking up! I don't think I could drag myself to the gym that early.
I'm usually an evening exerciser, with occasional afternoons (if my Son takes an extra long nap). Once the weather gets nicer I'll probably start going for morning walks with my son, but will still do my workout at night.
worked out at 1230 today
EVERY MORNING IS WORK OUT MORNING!!!!!! 8 - 9:30 am!!!
