Wii seems like it might be the answer to America’s weight issue. The video game gets you moving and moving your body helps you lose weight.

One Wii user conducted his own 6 week weight loss experiment with games from the Wii Sports package. Playing the video games everyday for 30 minutes, he charted his weight, body fat content and resting heart rate. He changed nothing else about his daily life – he didn’t eat less. In fact it was during the holidays and it sounds like he enjoyed all his holiday meals. He lost 9 pounds and 2 percent body fat. Not bad for only playing video games.
Check out this website to see more details, videos and photos. My favorite photo is his Rocky moment, standing on the Philadelphia Art Museum steps in old school gray sweats.
It was hard to find a Wii for around the holidays, but you can order one from LowestDeal.com.

I wanted to get this for my video gamer husband for Christmas. But they were all sold out. Good to know I can get him one now and maybe we can box each other. HAHAHA

4Yep -- the boxing game really works your body! Stand up to feel even more burn. I should use it more before my ex moves out!

6It's a blast. I've gotten a lot of people in my family playing it. Tennis rocks, bowling is okay, baseball - eh, box is fun.
7Oi I can't afford it
8We rented the Wii game, Raymond Raving Rabbids today (I rent before I buy) and my arms were tired after an hour. It's fun and good for you.
9The sports games (especially boxing) can really give you a good workout. But you can get away with playing them on the couch:P
