Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness, aka DOMS, is a phenomenon of muscle pain and soreness felt 12 to 48 hours following exercise. It is a normal part of working out and challenging your body. It means you definitely pushed yourself, but can be annoying depending on the degree of soreness, like after the first day of starting boot camp when your muscles are so sore you need help undressing. And yes I know that particular pain from experience. Even with those days of not being able to walk up and down stairs without wincing, I like to feel sore post workout. It makes me feel stronger. I am curious about you though . . .

I hate doing weights so so much, that if I am not so sore the next day that I can barely get down the stairs, I'm not happy. Because that means I didn't work hard enough and wasted my time doing something I hate. It's twisted, but it gets results!
1I like the pain as long as it's not due to an injury
2i love that burny torchy feeling!
3I looove feeling sore
as long as it doesn't severely inhibit me haha.
4I recently decided (after digging ourselves out of a snowstorm this weekend, that the ONLY pain that I don't like after working out is lower back pain. Anywhere else, awesome, love the burn, but man does snowshoveling do a number on your back!
5I like the sore feeling, but thankfully don't get it very much since I always have a post-workout shake which really helps with recovery.
6I don't love being sore, but feeling it in my glutes is pretty ok. I find it really frustrating when my abs are sore!
7I like feeling sore. Not too sore that it hurts to function, but sore enough so I notice it
8i love it.
9I like feeling sore and I haven't felt it in ages
10I love it, because I'm reminded all day how hard I worked the day before and am inspired to do it again!
11I love love love love love being sore!
1248? try 72
13I havent been sore in a while, think i need to work out harder... if that is possible...
14i love it!!!
15Soreness is great...it means i did something!!
"Pain is merely weakness leaving the body."
16Sometimes.
17Novaraen -- that is a fun quote!
18I like being sore afterwards, as it tells me that I am still challenging myself. If I have a workout or two and don't feel sore afterwards, I know it is time to bump up my weights or reps.
I don't mind it when I try something new or I increase my weights, but if i'm following a strength training routine, I expect the soreness to go away after a while.
19I guess I like the general body soreness that I get post-workout, like the reminder that I was good and worked hard that day. What I don't like are the achy joints and overuse soreness that I sometimes get, its kind of a pain and contributes to my "lets skip a day" tendencies.
20i like it...sometimes my abs get too sore tho...cuz i'm constantly slacking on my ab work, when i start again, its killer.
21i LOVE doing weights and if i don't feel sore i feel like i wasted a workout and didn't do my best or put everything into it. being sore the day after a workout makes me feel like i really pushed it and am getting something out of it.
22I do! It keeps me goal-oriented.
23i have to say yes - i like to feel sore since that means that i've been successful in working out pretty hard. there are times when i just don't feel sore and i wonder did i work out hard enough or is my body becoming used to my routine.
24Oh ya!!! If I don't feel anything I feel like I didn't work very hard.
25I don't mind being sore for a day, but after two or three days it gets annoying. I find that a little cardio can help my soreness go away faster, so that keeps me from using the soreness as an excuse to slack off.
26Absolutely LOVE that taut-and-heavy feeling of my muscles the next day! Mmmmmm....
Muscles all POW and ready to hold me up/cushion my joints better than before.
Unrelated: DAMN, there is some good eye candy on CSI Miami! Delicious.
Would also be great to get their soundtrack. Then I could imagine I'm running fast-but-in-slow-mo alongside "Mr. Wolf." LOL
27i love feeling sore. it gives me a sense of accomplishment. i'm lucky enough to have a live-in masseur (aka fiance), though.
