Everyone has made a run for the border at some point or another. To make sure you're prepared for your next trip to Taco Bell, I've broken down some of the popular menu items.
You should probably stick to the Crunchy Taco's Fresco Style (no cheese) as one has 150 calories, 7 grams of fat, 0.5 grams of trans fat, 360 mg of sodium and 14 grams of carbs. (*The soft taco fresco style weighs in with 190 calories)
You could also go for the Chicken Gordita Fresco Style which has 230 calories, 6 grams of fat, 0 grams of trans fat, 570 mg of sodium and 29 grams of carbs.
You definitely do not want to get the Fiesta Taco Salad as it packs in 860 calories, 46 grams of fat, 5 grams of trans fat, 1800 mg of sodium and 82 grams of carbs. (*The salad without the shell still has 490 calories!)
Fit's Tip: Watch out for condiments like sour cream and baja style sauce, they will pack on the extra calories!

When I'm forced to eat there, I always eat the Cheesarito. I WILL NOT eat the meat there, so that and SOMETIMES the chunks of potatoes with all the naughty stuff on it. But that's IT.
1I'll eat anything you put in front of me from that place, as long as it doesn't have onions and it's not a gordita. Mmm, Taco Bell. I had it yesterday though, so today it's Subway veggie sandwich.
2I don't eat there much.
3I've never had Taco Bell and prob never will.
4I love Taco Bell!
5The Chicken ranchero soft taco also is comparatively low is calories and is very yummy. 2 of them and Im full
6Nums! This is my major "cheat" place. There isn't a drive-thru on my way home (fortunately), because on really bad traffic days, I get super hungry on the way home. Hunger + frustration = border run/bad food choices. At least I've identified a trigger & can try to keep something more healthy in the car if it's one of those days.
7What's a cheesarito? Sounds cheesalicious. I get the bean burrito when I go there, and put about a half dozen packets of fire sauce on it. I think the bean burritos are only about 370 calories, not bad.
8i used to dream abotu their mexican pizzas, not anymore though. That whole ecoli thing scared me!
9ccsugar...it's a tortilla, cheese and some kind of tomato sauce...I dont' think they are even on the menu, but they are like $.79. I learned about them because a lady I babysat for (a hundred years ago) used to buy "Plain Cheesaritos" (no sauce) for her toddler.
Whew, long answer, huh?
10i LOVE taco bell!!The regular bean burrito is about 370 calories. I get it without cheese or onions, so tht knocks it down to 340 calories and 8g fat (as opposed to 10). This is my FAVE fast food

go there to see the nutrional info on all the taco bell stuff. You can customize it to see what you're getting if you add or leave stuff off. yum! I know what's for dinner tonight@
Cheesarito sounds like a Meximelt to me. Maybe they just changed the name.
12mmm... I always get 1 taco 1 soft taco and 1 burrito. Oh, and a med Mountian Dew... it is the ONLY time I drink "real" coke/soda/pop.
13what is FRESCO style?? (clueless)
14Asking for something Fresco Style at Taco Bells means they will swap out any cheese or sauces with fiesta salsa (tomatoes, onions, cilantro), making it lower in fat.
15I hate fastfood.
16I love Taco Bell and I never knew that a cruchy taco can be good for you
17I've never eaten at Taco Bell before but would the salad really have as many calories as it says if you did not eat the shell or the salad dressing?! I wish they would calculate the calories with out the shell & dressing on their website but I dont think they do....If they did then maybe I would set foot in there? Eh, actually not because...I dont eat fast food!
18Taco Bell is actually one of the better fast food restaurants (IMO), depending on what you pick. It's the only fast food place I go to, and I keep it simple with a plain taco and burrito. All the sauces and crap is what adds the calories. Plus I remember hearing somewhere that the beans at Taco Bell are vegetarian because they don't use lard.
19Oy.
I cant go to Taco Bell because I overinduldge.
It used to be my comfort food, bored food, and favorite food.
In ONE sitting I would get a bean burrito, a double decker, a beef supreme gordita and nachos.
UGH I'm disgusted with my old self!
20I looooooooooooooooooooove Taco Bell. On Friday I was craving a crunch wrap supreme soooo bad. Man they're friggin good. haha but I got at-home taco mix instead...which probably wasn't THAT much better but it was just lettuce and meat since my cheese was moldy. But I did eat like 4 since they're about half the size of a taco-bell taco. Mmmm melted cheese goo.
