Sunday mornings may start out lazy, but by the time evening rolls around I always feel like it is time to get back on track.
In the late afternoon I like to sit down with a cup of green tea and figure out my meal plan for the upcoming week. This takes the guesswork out of the menu since I have found I don't make the healthiest choices when I am already hungry. A little planning ahead can save a lot of unnecessary calories later. Once I figure out the meals for the week, I make a grocery list of the necessary ingredients and head to the store. Feeling stocked up for the upcoming week brings me peace of mind. I know I have the ingredients in the house to make the healthy meals I have planned.
Fit's Tip: You can use my food journal not only to track your meals, but to plan them as well.

really fit, where would we be without you?
1yeah.......definately starting tomorrow I need to get back on track asap! spring is coming and my trip to mexico is only 3 months away!
2I love doing this! I used to do it every week, but lately I've been working so late that I just have my boyfriend do the cooking on weeknights and he hates planning ahead.
3oooo.. I love these journals. Thank You!
4I always plan my week's food the night before I go shopping. I only go to the store once a week, so I just get everything I need then. I KNOW that if I go to the store when I'm starved, I'll just buy everything in sight and that would be pretty scary!
5I do this and plan the nightly meals for the week - so I don't have to go to the supermarket more than once a week.
6My husband and I do this once a week as well. We have found that it is the best thing to help us keep on budget and on track with our healthy eating!
7I do this weekly and it works like a charm!
8I get my groceries on Saturday and then cook/slice/chop up a storm on sunday for the week ahead. I save money on lunches and dinner, and i know what I'm putting in me. Works great!
9I plan and shop on Sundays - I found that I always plan one night less, cause there's always leftovers! This way I don't end up with too much in my fridge.
10We try to do this too...it really helps with the grocery shopping when we know exactly what we'll be eating for dinner all week.
