Rihanna, who's pretty hot right now, has no problems talking about how hard she works to stay healthy. She recently told Fabulous magazine all about her workout regime. Here are highlights:

YOU have an amazing figure. How do you stay in shape?
A lot of hard work and a lot of running on the treadmill. Cardio is the key. I have a personal trainer who travels with me if we have a big event coming up. I work out every day but I need a trainer to motivate me – I don’t find it much fun working out on my own. What do you like about your body?
My bum, and I keep working at it as I want it to be perfect. It makes my clothes look good – and guys like it!And what do you like least?
My legs. I’m insecure about them. Everyone wants to have slim, perfectly-toned legs and I’m the same. I do weights but I don’t want my legs to bulk up so I do a lot of cardio. I’ve lost a lot of weight since I started working out and if I exercise every day for a week, I can drop several pounds. If I diet, I see even faster results.
There's more, including talk about her restrictive diet and she even divulges how much she weighs, something you never ever hear from a celeb, so read more.
Do you have a strict diet?
Carbs are the enemy but if I go three days without them, I start getting weak. If my trainer had her way, I’d eat small meals every three hours, but I sometimes only eat once or twice a day. I have egg whites and pineapple for breakfast with hot water and lemon. For lunch I have fish and potatoes. I hate vegetables but I make myself eat them. For dinner I have fish again.Does size matter?
Not at all. My size varies – sometimes I’m a 2, sometimes 4 – but what matters is being fit and healthy. Being slim makes me feel better about myself. It boosts my self-esteem, and having a toned body helps with my job because I wear a lot of skimpy costumes. My weight fluctuates, but I don’t weigh myself every day. I’m 5ft 8in and weigh around 9st 7lb. (133 pounds)
Interesting read, though I am not pleased to hear that she eats once or twice a day — I'd be famished, she should listen to her trainer and eat small meals every three hours.

I dont think she sounds like a very healthy role model after reading that. She has a very unhealthy diet....eating once or twice a day? And what she eats is barely enough. And talking about exercising everyday and losing a few pounds? Geez. She seems very immature in the way she thinks of her body. Saying her butt makes her clothes look good and guys like it? Something sounds odd about that to me.
1This sounds pretty awful and I'm really not convinced she's being honest about how much she weighs, especially since she said she isn't a fan of weights. I'm an inch shorter and even when I've been in the best shape of my life and weighed 130 lbs, size 2 jeans wouldn't have gone 1/2 up my thigh. Obviously people have different body types, but I think in trying to come off as being honest about her body, Rihanna just picked a 'healthy' number and went with it, when I'd bet her actual weight is more around 123--the camera does add 10 lbs!
Also worrying that for a talented, successful singer, she derives self-esteem from her jeans size! Definitely another reason that female athletes normally make the best body role models.
2Whatever...that is not enough food. Not if she's working out too...
3i think it's great that she is honest...
4At least it sounds like she is being honest about it. Rather than,''I only do yoga and eat whatever I want, blah blah blah''.
5Hmmmm, I'm a couple inches taller than her, and I have a good 12 pounds on her. And we're the same size... Interesting.
I eat a hell of a lot more than she does, and I work out less(3-5 times/week). I don't get it.
6She, or someone in her camp, is an idiot. Kind of sad because I enjoy her music, but as far as health goes, she needs to just sit down and say "I do what my trainer tells me to, oh and I don't eat."
7She's tall!! I didn't realize she was 5'8!
8I hope this thread doesn't devolve into comparing weights/heights/whatever...it's just refreshing to hear someone say anything BUT "Oh, I eat 3 meals a day and 2 snacks, but I don't really like to work out that much."
9I think it's great she's honest too. And she is by no means anorexic! Look at people like Mary Kate Olsen or Keria Knightly. THEY ARE SKINNEY! Not Rihanna!
10I didn't realize she was 5'8" either! Something about it does sound a little immature but at least she is being honest?.?. Her eating habits will eventually catch up with her!!
11I don't understand why some people think what she said about her butt is weird. I would say the same. What's wrong with that being your fave part??
12My good fried of mine is about her size (height and weight) She's a crazy runner and is probably like a 4. I don't think she's totally lying but at least she's being honest about knowing what she SHOULD be doing. And come on, s oshe has off days that she doesn't eat enough or right? lots of women have that problem, people that overwork and just don't find the time. My mom does it often (too often, I yell at her) so while it might not be the healthiest thing, it's better then lying and saying she's perfect.
I love her and I always wanted to know her workout regime. Her breakfast sucks! I need more carbs than that, or I'll starve. She is being real and I love that about her. I am 5"7 130lbs I love her tummy and legs. I too hate my legs and self consicous about it. I think I need more weights to toned them more.
13I am sorry but there is no way that she weighs 133. I agree that 123 is more like it. I'm 5ft 7in, weigh 136 and I wear a size 8!
14I wear a 3/4.
LMAO! I love your avatar acemonkey!
15I don't know whether it's right to use one's own weight to determine whether another's is "correct." When I was 150-ish at 5'7", I was wearing size 8/10, so it's completely possible that I would be 4/6 at 130 lbs.
16i agree, although she does eat HEALTHY, it sounds like her eating HABITS could use work-- whatever though, who's to say what works for someone else ? she looks great i think. and i LOVE LOVE LOVE that she's at least being honest about working hard at it-- seriously, i can't stand those who lie and say "i eat whatever i want and NEVER work out and clearly thats why i look like a stick" give me a break
17Can we all remember that this young woman is 20 years old and has only recent been working out on a regular basis? also, she probably has a pretty packed shcedule and finds it hard to eat those small meals all day. i know it sounds crazy, but some people are SO busy they FORGET to eat! I do it all the time, and of course I kick myself and proceed to eat something but I don't think we should lambast her and say she sucksas a role model! She is being honest and I'm sure she will eventually get on a routine, hopefully before she burns out.
18I just read the comment about her weight and we should all know by now that genetics and where you carry the most weight affects how much you wiegh more than your height. This is why I, at 5'8" and 195 can wear a size 10-14 depending on the garment, but when I was about 175 I was still only a size 9/10. i carry my weight/muscle in my thighs and no matter how I work out this is my biggest part of my body which affects the way you wear clothes. Rihanna has a small waist and her bust is not too large, but she does have a bottom and thighs, so it's completely believable that she weighs 133 punds and wears a 2/4, especially with VANITY SIZING as it is today.
19atleast someone was finally honest about what they eat!
20I appreciate her honesty, but I really don't think she is setting a good example. Her diet doesn;t sound balanced nor varied, which is vital to stay health and slim. Unless she improves her diet and does more resistance training the weight will catch up with her in her 30s!
21When will we get past this "carbs are the enemy" mentality?
22i think she's being honest about her height, weight and clothing size. not to throw another comparison in there, but i'm 5'10", 138 and a size 2/4. i think it depends more on your body composition than your weight.
23Weight means nothing.
24I agree ad2121; weight doesn't really mean anything.. It just means she could have mroe muscle mass than some or something along those lines.. I'm 5'7" and weigh somewhere around 120-125 which is more than I've ever weighed but when it comes to it's the measurements that I care more about...
25I have to agree with a lot of the other comments. She doesn't seem to have the greatest mindset with her opinions on working out and eating. It sounds like she's more interested in how it makes her look than her health. She's a role model to a lot of teenagers and I don't like that she'd say looking slim makes her feel good and is important for her job. It also sounds like sometimes she'll exercise and diet like crazy to lose a few pounds in a week. That isn't a healthy idea to be promoting. I appreciate her honesty, but she should have thought about what sort of advice she's giving out to people who look up to her.
26when i weighed 130 i was a size two and i am three inches shorter than her. everyone's body is different. maybe she isnt the most healthy as far as her attitude towards health vs looks, but i'm glad she's honest about what it takes to look like her.
27"I think it's great she's honest too. And she is by no means anorexic! Look at people like Mary Kate Olsen or Keria Knightly. THEY ARE SKINNEY! Not Rihanna!"
One doesn't have to be super skinny to have anorexic habits.
28Unless you know her measurements, you can't really say definitively how much she said weigh. Everybody carries their weight differently, has a different metabolism, etc. It's akin to comparing apples to oranges. Geez, let the girl be. She was asked a series of questions about her lifestyle. She answered honestly (I think). So what if her responses weren't ideal as far as her fans are concerned. THis is what works FOR HER. Don't try to put her in a boz as to how she should live her life. Maybe her diet is less than stellar, but at least she admits that, and will most likely improve upon it in the future. She's falliable just like everyone else.
29i love that she's being honest. just because she's a celebrity doesn't mean she's superhuman. it's not fair of us to expect her to maintain a perfect diet and workout routine. not many of us mere mortals do.
30and i love that outfit.
31I think it's fair to say that no matter what she says she eats/doesn't eat, how she claims to work out, and what she says she weighs, she's going to be criticized, so I applaud her for being honest if nothing else.
32Oh, I do NOT like her comment "If I exercise everyday for a week, I lose a lot of pounds" or something...that's BAD for her young fans!
33all i know is, i work out and do cardio every day and if i only ate once a day i'd pass out on the treadmill!
34To me, her weight sounds about right.
I'm 5'9, 153 lbs, and I wear a size 6 jean or 27/28 in designer. It really depends on the person's body build/structure.
About 6 months ago I weighed 145, and wore a size 4.
If I weighed 135...I could totally be a size 2. Easily.
35Well, I am glad to hear a celeb be honest about working hard (and yes, probably eating too little) in order to be super slim. I get so tired of the same things other people have commented on - "Oh, I am just naturally skinny! I eat cheese burgers!" Sure, there are some people like that, but most have to work at being 5'8" and size 2/4.
36Good to hear someone be honest...
37are her eating habit the super healthy? no. but i think we should consider what most 20 year old girls are eating like. i'm 22 and just left college and my eating habits were the WORST at 20 b/c of what a college schedule is like and because i could everything i wanted without worrying about weight gain. she's young and beautiful and in the best shape of her life, i'm sure her metabolism can handle her habits.
i know we all like to act like we're above vanity, but let's be for real. many people workout because they want to be hot - not healthy (though it isn't a bad side effect)
i, for one, don't spend hours in the gym because i just can't get enough of the treadmill or possibility of contracting a staph infection from the machines! i'm there because i want to look good in my clothes and hopefully purchase them in a smaller size and turn my boyfriend (and perhaps a few handsome strangers) on.
38Weight's a touchy subject... For me the thing that get's to me is the size 0 backlash. As a short female I hate hearing about how everyone who wears a size 0 is anorexic. I'm not even close to anorexic. I eat stuff ranging from healthy to not so healthy like everyone else. I wish people would remember to take height into consideration when they talk about size zeros. It may not be great for a girl who's 5'8" but it's another story for someone who is 5'1".
39She does'nt sound natural or healthy at all.
40I don't get why some of you are hating. Everyone has different body types! I'm about 5'7 - 5'8 and weigh 135lbs AND can fit into 3/4! I eat regularly and exercise regularly. I love that she's honest and love her in general! We all know we have those days when we skip a meal because we're too busy. Just because shes a celebrity doesn't mean she's perfect!
41I love her but that is B-A-D, she doesn't eat enough, that is for sure...but she also doesn't look like a size 2....
42I'm 5'4 and weight about 105lbs and I'm a size 0/2....and no, I don't starve myself, I'm healthy and eat a lot! So, how can a tall, curvaceous woman like her possibly be a size 2???
Isn't it unhealthy to be eating fish that frequently? What with the mercury and all?
43Ok....Rihanna you need to go to the doctors!!! I just went onto google to look for a picture of her hairstyle and found this!!
44I have an eating disorder and have done for a while at my lowest I was 68 kilos (I dunno what that is in pounds for all you American people but there are 3 pounds in every kilo or something)
I have never been so ill in all my life when I was that weight! I'm the same height as Rihanna and was eating about the same amount (which is ABSOLUTELY NOT healthy) exercising about the same amount and I suffered from cheast pains and would faint and stuff even though I was not deathly thin it was not a healthy or fulfilling way of living!
It's good that she is honest about what she does to her body but eating egg white and pineapple slices for breakfast?!! jesus! And I bet that's par for the course in hollywood!!
Ah well! I thought by looking at her in her videos and stuff that she was quite curvy for a popstar and was glad that she is happy with herself and sexy and confident with it but if this is to be believed then obviously she's not and that is a very sad thing indeed...x
p.s I just checked what a size 2 is in british sizing and I'm sorry but there is no way she is a size 4!!! Ok you'd have to be a skeleton to be that tall and a size 4!! Even my thinnest friends aren't as skinny as that! And they look skinnier than her!
45So either she's lying or the sizing chart's wrong!! BLADDY ELL!! shocking...
Intresting commments by her. I agree with Sarahella...maybe they are using British sizing since they are talking about weight in stones.
Weight is bs anyways and should not be an indicator of how fit a person is. Because bone mass, muscle density and all that stuff effects how you look. I use body fat compsition and how my clothes fit for a more accurate look.
I am 5'7.5 and my weight is anywhere between 145-150. But I am a 4/6 (Canadian sizing which I assume is pretty close to US sizing). I am a 4 when I am closer to 145 and a 6 when I am closer to 150. But I was also at 155 lbs about 7 years ago and a size 10/12 (when I was at my largest and not eating healthy or working out)
46And I agree with everyone else. She is not eating enough to maintain how much she works out.
47I agree with Rihanna. I have pretty much the same problem, small waist, the hips and the butt are the problem for me too. It's hard to work out that part of the body and not gain weight.
But i do remember her saying something about only sometimes eating once or twice a day,it's not a daily thing. What she said about wanting her butt to look good is true for any girl with a booty like that. you gotta show it off for the guys, right? heyy!!!
Jk. but his work out plan and dieting sounds iteresting. i think i will try it out and post back again.
48i love rihanna ima try doing what she does!
49Wow....and here I thought she was eating healthy! Perhaps, its her schedule. That could very well be the problem. But, she could carry a healthy snack or two with her if she has a busy schedule. That's what I would do.
