Want to try a new class that can pump up your core, abs and endurance while breaking up the boredom of your current cardio routine?

If so, then you may want to see if Speedball is offered near you. Speedball is a unique cardiovascular and muscular endurance group class that uses a two pound medicine ball (or four or six, depending on your strength level) for resistance. The class typically combines lateral and linear movements based off of boxing, dance, and martial arts that are sequenced to high energy music. Think Tai Chi while holding a medicine ball the entire time. This nonstop movement is pretty much guaranteed to leave you feeling it all over, but especially your abs and arms, the next few days.

Sounds fun...
1I wanna try!
2I want to do this! I love medicine balls! I have a 6 lbs. ball at home. My trainer makes me use it all the time. Abs, squats, lunges. It's a total body workout... its amazing.
Note... they have medicine balls that have handles or straps on them if you don't think you can hold onto the ball very well.
3this sounds like fun, but when i read the title "speedball" i thought it was going to be about the game! speedball [at least the way i play with my kids at the ymca] is a combination of handball and soccer - a wonderful way to burn calories and have fun!
4wow, i would die of exhaustion after 20min of this class. looks so intense.
5It looks kind of like a kettlebell class...it'd probably be one KILLER workout.
