If you're looking for a new snack to add to your, well, snacks then you may want to get yourself a free bag of Flat Earth Baked Veggie Crisps, i.e. chips. According to the manufacturer, Frito Lay, one ounce of these chips provide half a serving of fruits and/or veggies. I know I've said before that I don't buy healthy junk food, but if it's free then I'm not technically buying it, right? Anyway, I figured I'd try them out before I knock 'em so you can too by downloading your own free coupon here (all you have to do to get it is enter your birthday, nothing more).

I've seen these in the stores and had no problem passing them up. They kind of strike me as the sort of product that wants you to think it's good for you when it's not. Maybe they are, but I sort of don't trust them. Anyone tried them? How do they stack up? Can you eat just 1/6 of the bag at at time (that's the serving size)? I guess I just don't get why the apple ones would be 4.5g of fat per serving. What are they putting in them?
1These are OK. I had a bag of the wild berry ones and while they taste pretty good at first...they kind of have a weird aftertaste. Its like a berry flavored potato chip...
2These are awesome.
The apple ones and the tomato ones are my favorites.
3I dont mean i "had" a whole bag of these...i bought a bag and kept it in my desk drawer at work.
These are ok for a small snack and i never felt inclined to eat the whole bag at once.
4A nutritionist on the Today Show said not to buy these...essentially you are not getting as much benefit as you think and youre better off getting a baked potato chip.
5One day while on the brink of starvation @ Target, while still wanting to remain health conscious, I picked up a garlic variety of these chips. It was by far one of the worst impulse snack purchases of my life. These things tasted more like they were dipped in ranch dressing (which I loathe) then freeze-dried. Gross.
6I had one of these chips and it was really gross, I wouldn't eat them even with the free coupon.
7I don't like any of them except for the apple cinnamon ones - and those are really, really good. I don't think they're all that healthy, but they're probably still way better than Doritos or potato chips.
8I'm love these!!! The mango ones are by far my favorite.
9Sorry, meant to say *I* love these...
10i've just started eating veggie crisps - not this brand but another one that i got at Whole Foods and they are good
i think that people are sometimes put off by the thought of a veggie potato chip type thing
11Don't these have HFCS?
12Chips are chips. I don't like how they advertise them as a better choice than regular chips...maybe they have like, 1 more gram of fiber or something, but still. I don't think I'd like fruit-flavored chips anyways...sounds weird.
13No thanks.
14They're free because they're gross!!!!! I had a friend who bought these and we didn't find anybody who liked them! But apparently a few people here have enjoyed them so I suppose you might as well take advantage of the free offer if you're wanting to give them a try!!
15I love these! The garlic herb ones are awesome!
16my friend had these . . . I tried the cheddar ones and the apple ones and liked them, but don't know if I would buy them myself. Though the apple ones tasted good it was kind of weird to have a "sweet" chip. I think I'd rather have an apple, you know? The cheddar ones were ok too, but I didn't look at the ingredients or nutrition info, and if they're not that much better then is the price and all really worth it?
